the Pier Cafe in Cayucos CA is a classic beach front cafe. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the prices are family friendly. (seven people can eat for under $70.00)
You need to be prepared to wait to eat there if you go at dinner time, the dining room is somewhat small and can back up. Reservations are not available. However you can get take out orders at the window in the alley to eat on the pier while you watch surfers, sea lions and otters do their thing in the waves.
All in all it is a family tradition every time we visit the central coast, which is nearly monthly.
