This practice is affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospital. They charge an excessive amount of money for merely testing and reading biopsy samples. One surgery ended up costing over $1600 for their lab work - and this practice doesn't participate with many insurance companies. Because they don't get on insurance panels the patient has to pay the entire fee - and they can charge you whatever amount they want to since they follow no insurance company guidelines regarding comparable services. If you have cancer and end up with a few biopsies you can end up owing thousands of dollars for the lab alone! I'll never go to the above mentioned hospital again for surgery due to this practice being the only one at the hospital and patients have no choice about the provider. more
