A pleasant place to eat, if you can come to grips with the fact that it shares a building with a gas station (some people really get into this kind of atmosphere, others not so much). Good food, nice if informal service, and yeah, it tends to be very easy on the wallet. more

A great place for a TON of food! 8/20/2005

Philo’s may not have the greatest ambiance in town, but their food is CHEAP, plus you get a lot of food!! Their plate lunches always change, so I always have to call in the morning to ask what the special is for the day. For $4.99, here is an example of a plate lunch you get: Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, peas, toast and dessert. Also, if you have a Liberty Card purchased from a local area high school, the price is $3.99 for a plate lunch. more
