Pets and Vets as Partners

I would not recommend using Pets and Vets. We recently had our dog spayed there and were very disappointed for a couple of reasons. The first issue was a phone call we received on our answering machine while the surgery was in process. They wanted to know if we wanted an additional procedure preformed that was recommended for our breed of dog and said we needed to let them know within 20 minutes. (The appointment to have the dog spayed had been made many weeks before-hand and we would have appreciated the time to research and carefully consider the decision in advance of the surgery.) Secondly, the price turned out to be almost twice as high as we were quoted. I guess they were honest about the price of the spay, but our bill included 25 line items (including things such as anesthesia, catheter, surgical staples, etc) that made the price significantly higher. Pets and Vets is a great clinic. I was a first-time dog owner and they made everything easy, affordable, and on top of it, they were friendly! They really care about your pet and are extremely helpful. A great vet if you live in the area or if you were a student at Purdue as I was. Chester would still be a patient there if I didn't have to move away to go to law school. more

They provide great medical care for our two dogs. They are professional and their boarding service is exceptional. We've been with them now for four years. more

I have taken my cat and dogs to Pets & Vets As Partners for years and have never had a complaint. The staff is extremely caring and act as though they are taking care of their own pets. They lovingly greet my pets at the door, so I have no question that they are being taken care of. One of my dogs has several medication it takes and they pay special attention to making sure he gets what he needs when he needs it. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny. The on-site vet is helpful too, so I don't have to deal with a different place for their boarding and vet care. more

I really like the fact the place sends you reminders for every single thing you have to do - immunizations for you pet, the medicine refills, etc. They are rather helpful on explaining what your pet absolutely needs, what it should have, and what is optional (e.g. for an inside-home cat). They also offer pet health insurance... Which seems like a good idea, at least after looking at my last bill from them :) more

I took my cat there for all her shots. They staff there are nice, they put you in a database, and send you reminder cards when the time for your pet's next appointment comes around. The reception room has a couple of cats milling around - very well taken care of, they just live there, and one I think is a rescued cat, she has only three legs, but is really friendly and goes around just fine. more
