Pete's Dockside, a family owned and operated establishment in the docks of South Boston is like stepping into a movie. Teddy, the owner, seems to know everyone's name, and if he doesn't know you, he will by the end of your visit. The atmosphere is like something out of a movie, with a glass case full of homemade pie slices, baklavah and pieces of watermelon. The food is cooked up to order, and whatever the meal, it's always put into a foam container, with a fork neatly jammed in the lid by Teddy's father who works the register.
Pros: Great food and a great staff make this one of my favorite lunchtime restaurants
Cons: The vegetarian fare is lacking.
