Good for Supplies, not for animals 9/19/2014

It seemed like they had a lot of animal supplies when I visited. I was on a mission to get a betta fish, so I didn't really browse the supplies as I already have my own. When I found the betta fish, they were in the tiniest containers I've ever seen bettas kept in at a store. I also had a hard time picking which one I wanted, because there were probably 5, and they all seemed sickly, showing stress stripes and agitation. I finally picked one and it died 13 days later. I'm confident that I did everything right and didn't unintentionally kill him. more

Pet Supplies Plus 7/5/2006

I do not have a pet, but I do have pets in my life. We shop here often for supplies like food and toys and stuff. I am sometimes appalled at the way their small mammals look, mainly their feeder or small white mice. I looked once and there was 2 dead and dried out and one was dead with his head cut off. There wasn't any water or food in their tanks, so I can guess what happened. It shouldn't come to that. I would never buy a pet from them, but, pet supplies are limited here so we do sometimes buy them new toys or things they may enjoy becuase their prices are very resonable. I just am in the opinion that this store should get out of the business of selling small mammals. Their fish, they look great. more
