Dr. Puls didn't admit me or run the BMP test to see if i was in heart failure. he sent me home to die. 6 weeks later, i again was rushed by ambulance to Perry Memorial Hospital for Heart failure. they sent me home with a script for levenox. i deterioted quick, so i went to Stillwater Medical where I recieved IV therapy for heart failure, I then died from heart failure that could of been treated 6 weeks ago, and I would still be alive. more

Years ago, my husband was in the ER for what we thought was a heart attack, but it turned out to be something else. At that time, we got the worst service. Recently though, I was taken by ambulance to the ER and got top rate service. Not only were the paramedics totally professional and caring, the ER nurse was the same way. Then, Dr. Hartwig came in and he was an outstanding doctor. He was so professional, caring and knowledgeable. He kept my husband informed and also talked to me, not just my husband. I was treated like a real person. This hospital has really changed and I would recommend it to anybody. They are a quality hospital now. Earlier that same year, I was also taken to the ER and got the same type of treatment. So, I know this wasn't just a one time thing. This is the way they are now, professional, caring, courteous, knowledgeable and very, very friendly. I have absolutely no complaints about this hospital or the paramedics. I was even so impressed that I had to write a pe more

I was taken by ambulance twice in one year and got the best service I could have imagined from the ER staff, the doctors and the paramedics. 9/26/2007

When my furnace blew up in my face, the paramedics were exceptional. They were both calm and very caring along with being totally professional.Once I got to the hospital, the ER nurse was the most caring person I could have ever met.Although I had heard the wait time for the doctors was forever, I have to totally disagree. The doctor got there quickly and was very professional.I left in alot of pain, but that was not their fault. They gave me pain medication, cleaned the burns, and added a cream that somewhat helped.I never wanted to go back again, just because something has to be wrong to go there, but if I had to, I would not think twice about it.In fact, a few months later, I had my first tonic-clonic seizure.Again the paramedics were professional as I could remember, since I was out most of the time.Once I got to the hospital, the nurse was so sweet and understanding.Although she kept asking questions that I could not remember the answers too.She apparently could hear the frustration in my voice because she told me that was normal and it would all come back. The doctor got there extremely quickly, ran the tests necessary to rule out anything bad, and this was late at night too.In some hospitals the people who do certain tests go home and don't come back until morning. The doctor explained everything in detail and I was given the choice of staying there for a night or coming home.Although I felt like staying,my husband was more coherent at the time and decided to take me home.I would recommend this hospital to anyone in need of care. They are professional, kind, courteous and totally care about the patients. They don't just act like they care. You can actually feel it.This comes from someone who had always sworn she would never go there.I am now glad that I had no other choice but to go there. My mind is totally changed about the type of care I would receive.Thank you Perry Memorial Hospital Staff, Doctors and the City of Perry EMS Crew.I love you all! Pros: Professionalism; compassion; knowledgeable, clean environment Cons: You have to be sick or injured when you go there. more

Worst Hospital In Northern Oklahoma 5/29/2007

With a Mortality rate of 7 out of 10, this is the worst hospital I have ever seen. It is filthy, the staff are nasty dirty looking, they couldnt cure a sore throat, they always send you to stillwater medical center. this is a bandaid station only, please for the sake of god almighty, dont go there if you want to live to see tomorrow. more

This is a small hospital but dont let that fool you the service and expertise here is excellant. They have less than 30 beds available but they also do have a operating room and they were one of the first in the state to install a mammogram xray machine. The nurses are very nice and always getting baskets of goodies from greatfull patients. more
