Paula has great techniques and products. I had her waxless wax on my eyebrows and deep pore cleansing facial. They are very different from what I had before in the other places. Paula's service is itchy-free, bump-free, and redness-free. Just leave the smooth skin. Except her professional services, she is also a super nice person. When she was doing my deep-pore facial, she said now it is the torture part...but I didn't feel any pain at all! When she put mask on me, she jokes "my canvas", but she treat my face like a real piece of art! That's why I highly recommend Paula Zdovc Salon to everyone!! more

I had my first appointment with Paula yesterday (9/9/09). Unfortunately, I was late. Paula waited and was extremely gracious. Just upon speaking to her to book my appointment, I felt like I was speaking to an old friend. Her personality is that of an angel. And her skills ... nothing short of amazing! She transformed my homemade plucked eyebrows, which looked hideous, and transformed them into supermodel worthy eyebrows! How lucky I am that in this big City, I found her. Most noteworthy to me is Paula's refreshing honesty. She will not attempt to sell you a service that you do not need. There is no need to spend double or triple the price at a pretentious salon where you might be treated like "just another client." I went to Paula for a leg wax and left finding her to be a lifesaver. Besides the fact that when you get a wax at Paula's salon it's unlike any other in the privacy, tender care and smoothest skin ever! Paula looked at my face and said "what are you doing?" I told her I had been going to another place and was told it would take about 6 years of electrolysis to get rid of the hair. Paula could not believe it! She sat me down and explained the process to me and how she works. We made an appt. and within a couple of months NOT YEARS I was hair free!! Paula helped me gain confidence again and not be embarrassed to have people look at my face. There is just smooth skin. I don't even think twice about going anywhere else for any hair removing. As far as hair removal goes, I've tried it all, including several electrologists. Nothing seemed to be working, until I met Paula! She actually managed to rid me of most of the nasty chin hairs that had been plaguing me for far too long (we're still working on the really stubborn ones). She is incredibly friendly, professional, and really knows what she is doing. Her salon is clean, and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing. I simply do not believe that Paula's expertise can be explained in words - she is truly professional, insightful and caring as well as attentive to detail...with every one of her clients! I am 23 and had always plucked my eyebrows myself because I have VERY sensitive skin and was horrified of being one of those girls with burned/bright red marks for days. Not surprisingly, after 10 years of correcting one side or the other, I resigned to the fact that only a professional could nurse shape back into my over-plucked eyebrows. When I moved to New York (couple months ago) I saw threading everywhere and started looking up recommendations. Eyebrow shaping specialists? I stumbled on this listing in Citysearch, have never seen ALL reviews exclusively glowing, happy, faithful ? and pretty much joined to share the same feelings as ALL!! saw her qualifications (if you want the paperwork, she has more certifications and course completions than most entire salons) ? and am SO thankful, happy, LUCKY to have Paula. She is the kindest person, and I thought she was helping me through a hard time because I?m young and was having a hard day before my first visit; I have since seen Paula welcome and dedicate full care to clients- in the next visit, and the next, etc. - every race, age, reason for coming, type of epilation and work schedule is at home and in the best hands with Paula. Not a SINGLE hair ? and I mean that magnifying glass spares no visible hair from the tweezers ? eyebrows and bikini alike, she is serious about her work! I would never let my eyebrows get hairy and messy for anyone else, but I hate the idea of just plucking and having to delay my appointment!! :) I can't wait to get a facial! Paula is worth her weight in gold - I am so happy I found her. Her salon really is one of the best kept nyc beauty secrets . I tried lots of places when I moved to nyc including most of the suposedly 'best ' spas and nothing comes even remotely close to comparing to Paula Zdovc's lovely salon on the upper east. Firstly Paula is very good at what she does, indeed unusually good - for e.g. once you come here for waxing you won't go anywhere else - she is so meticulous that she gets every root and whips out her magnifying glass to make that mean all - so much so that together with her special wax and aftercare cream, the hairs really do get finer and eventually disappear - something that has never happened to me elsewhere. Also what I love it that you never feel like your in a spa factory being rushed in and out, on the contrary Paula really takes her time - and is a joy to chat to. And facials here by her colleague Elizabet are amazing - Elizabet also really takes her time and a facial can easily last 2 hours and has none of the formulaic style of other spas. Elizabet really gets to know your skin and works out what is best for you. Like Paula, Elizabet is unusually skilled in what she does - not only are her facials super relaxing but she's amazing with extractions and ensures all blemishes are removed without leaving any marks - a true and rare skill. She also seems to make my pores totally shrink. My skin is so clear and bright after a treatment and stays so not just for a few days but for a few weeks - I love it as I don't need foundation anymore! I now live right downtown but would not be without Paula for anything, I will always travel up to Madison Avenue to see her and Elizabet. I've now been going to Paula's salon for 3 years and it's so good to feel I have somewhere that takes care of all my beauty needs - if you try this salon, I promise you'll be as devoted as I am! I have gone to Paula for bikini waxes over a year now. She is very professional, quick, and inexpensive (about $30). If you have sensitive skin, and are prone to rashes, ingrown hairs, etc., (like me), you will find these annoying things are minimized. Furthermore, Paula's salon is small but clean and comfortable. She is also very accomodating for those with busy schedules. more

This was the best money I've ever spent on a bikini wax (only $30!!). Paula does an amazing job - she's thorough (both sides are even!), sanitary (washed her hands before AND after the waxing, which you don't always see), and professional. She left no strays, and I don't kid you when I say her waxing didn't hurt as much as others'. more

Going to Paula is kind of like discovering one of those coveted "inside NY tips" Pros: excellent waxing, excellent eyelash tinting, excellent relaxed facials Cons: if you're in a super rush you wont be able to appreciate paula's full treatment more

I recently went to Paula Zdovc after the reccomendation by a friend. I've been to plenty of high-end spas in the city and I was really impressed with Paula. I didn't feel like just a number or rushed at all...she treats one client at a time, has decades of experience, and has small, private setting where you feel relaxed and pampered. I went for a facial but also had her do my brows after reading all the press she had about her expert-eye brow shaping technique. I've gotten a ton of compliments, and have definitely found a new beauty guru! I highly recommend Paula's European Natural Beauty Salon to anyone who hates feeling like they are in a factory when they visit a spa. I've already booked my next appointment!
