I rarely write reviews but this place deserves one for the worst customer service possible. I'd never been here before so I'd thought I'd give this place a try with some friends. First they gave us the dinner menu when we arrived at 1.40 pm for lunch. When we asked for the lunch menu, the waitress went and got 1 menu to be shared amongst 6 of us. They didn't have enough lunch menus in a restaurant that wasn't even busy! There were only 2 other couples in there with us. And we were there on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress didn't even apologize. The one lunch menu they did give us was printed on plain paper held in a plastic sleeve. Then the staff stood around and chatted while we had to look at the 1 lunch menu. The hostess walked by and said that the rest of the menus were being used by another couple. Again, no apologies whatsoever. So in the end, we had to order from the dinner menu because waiting on the lunch menu to be passed around was getting ridiculous. Guess it's little wonder this place was EMPTY on a weekend. The bread basket came out after we waited for 30 minutes. The food as so-so. For the prices they charge, you could get better elsewhere. After the terrible service, I won't be recommending this place nor will I be back. After all the hype given to Atlas Park Mall, this restaurant is a huge letdown. I'd say try any of the other places in the area--even Johnny Rockets would be a step up than this joint. Since this restaurant is part of the one located in Manhattan, check the reviews there too. I came upon this restaurant at the new The Shops at Atlas Park mall. It was very conveniently located on the same floor as the cinemas which makes a great stop for a romantic dinner after a date. From the moment I walked in, the service was great as Alessando made sure to accommodate us. I was totally unaware of the outdoor seating area which as great since the weather was spectacular. With only a few days away from the official start of the Fall season, it was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy a meal. Not to mention that there aren't a lot of places in Queens where you could enjoy a great dinner outdoors. Since I wasn?t very hungry, I decided to go with an appetizer called Cozze Piccanti which consisted of baby mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. I tend to enjoy very spicy food although this sauce went just right with the mussels. I also tried a small bit of Lentil soup which had a great texture that was not too thick or thin. The Bruschettes al pesto were awesome and brought me nostalgic memories of my Summer in Rome... Overall, great Italian food with very attentive service! Pros: Great Service! Cons: None... more
