Not baby or handicap friendly 11/13/2010

NOT baby or handicap friendly. My husband and I just visited Past Tense for the first time since the locals seem to talk a lot about it. We took our 13 month in a stroller in the store and that was a huge mistake. There was barely room in between the aisles for the stroller to fit and there were tons of stairs with no ramps! There is a handicap entrance but a person in a wheel chair would never be able to get past the door. We discovered the restaurant was the same! Very tight quarters in there as well so we just left and ate somewhere else. We'd rather go to Bronners in Frankenmuth where we can shop with the family and actually enjoy ourselves. more

Past Tense is such a fun place to explore! Just make sure you have plenty of time to go through it. We have even gone on field trips with the girl scouts for the apples. Excellent variety of goodies to buy. more

The Best Cider I Have Ever Tasted.... 10/28/2007

If for no other reason...you should go to Past Tense Cider Mill in Lapeer just for the Apple Cider. WOW!!!!! I just had two tall glasses and I want more!!!! Really, I love this stuff...probably too much. lol \r Besides the wonderfully tasty cider, Past Tense is a day trip that will warm your heart and fill your belly. The diner is small, but quaint. The food is top notch and very generous servings are provided at a value price. The pizza....Oh my! The pizza toppings are fresh, super serving size. The all meat pizza is for the true MeatEater! \r During the Fall Festival, six weeks during the September/October months, for a couple dollars, Past Tense turns the clock back with Bluegrass music, pumpkins everywhere, Hayrides where you can pick your own pumpkin, the kids can get their faces painted, and play in a smalltown carnival....and for a very reasonble charge, you can make your own full size scarecrow (They're all over Lapeer at business sites and home sites) and keep those no more

Great products in a Beautiful Atmosphere 10/6/2005

Past Tense is a Lapeer favorite. The have nice antiques and unique items for the hard to buy for person on your list. In addition, they have their own cider mill & cafe. They also have many special events, like scarecrow makeing, pumpkin wagon rides and farm animals days. The kids love going to Past Tense on these special weekends. more

Looking for a bite to eat and an adventure. 6/5/2005

Past Tense started as a great little county store featuring collectibles and antiques and just grew. They planted an orchard, built a cider mill, and then added the restaurant. It is an adventure in itself. The cider is world class, the sandwiches special, top it off with dessert and you will be in the mood to shop. Or browse first and work up an appetite. In either case this could be a day trip you won't be dissappointed in. more
