They will RIP you off all about money,no your kids

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/21/2014

Would anyone be interested in a class action law suit against this sorry excuse for a man who is more interested in sterling kids parents money than the kiss themselves \r Former parks student more

I agree with everything Teresa said. This place IS NO GOOD. mr. parks is a scammer. A greedy little Korean scammer. He IS NOT A MARTIAL ARTIST, HE IS JUST ASAIN! more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! TOTAL RIPOFF!!! more

great place 9/14/2012

#1 School !!!!! Putting our son here was the best thing we have done for him. He not only loves it , He a total changed. He is growing up and showing respect and discipline that was was tough at Park's Tae* Kwon *Do. The instructors take the time to show him the right way to learn new moves and show big encouragement to him. Everybody at Park's Tae Kwon*Do is amazing !!! They will work with you for your finical situations. There are many martial arts schools out there but if you want your child to really learn and earn his belt then comes to Park's . Ask for Master Yeo , He is the Head Instructor there and will get you a great deal... Bring your child in for a free class they always give you a trail class which is great. You will see the difference right away.. AAAAAA+++++++Alejoandro Herrera more

Parks is Awesome! 7/24/2012

Park's is a great school, my experience over the years has been positive, it is a family environment and they focus on life education beliefs, Masters Club program has been a positive impact on my family. The instructors demand and challenge all their students to be their very best and not to mention the school is immaculate and safe environment. Pros: Very Professional and organized more

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO PARK'S TAE KWON DO 6/2/2011

We have had a similar negative experience to several of the reviews posted here. Here are the highlights: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION FOR PAYMENT. THEY WILL WITHDRAW FUNDS WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. 1. Park's is only interested in having you sign expensive, long, unrealistic contracts for children of such a young age. 2. They will say almost anything to get you to sign a contract. 3. The staff turnover is so high, you don't know who is teaching your child week to week. 4. The expense for tuition, plus testing every 10 weeks is overpriced. If you want your child to advance, you must pay to have him/her tested. It gets expensive! 5. My husband tried repeatedly to meet with Master Park to talk about our son and he never got a call back. This is not a way to do business. When my son started at Park's, we had some good instructors who seemed to care about the kids and who were good role models. They are no longer working at Park's. We are completely shocked at the underhanded way Park's does business and strongly advise families looking for a quality martial arts program to look elsewhere. more

CAUTION: Park's is a BUSINESS, not a school for KIDS 5/9/2011

As so many of the other frustrated parents have pointed out, the management at Park's is focused on your money, not your kids. At first, we thought the school was going to teach our son, but as we got to know the place, we realized that it really didn't add much value and didn't have the programs, staff or peer attendance needed for our son who was already a black belt. more

WORST STUDIO EVER! 4/20/2011

i wish there was a NEGATIVE rate button. this is the worst place EVER to take your kids! they stole money from my someone and then use sneaky tactics (uses a different name) to continue stealing the money after she had them banned from her account. Now they've taken 1000$ from her and she's fighting to get it back. there are SO many other dojos that are kid friendly to choose from that you are doing yourself a favor NOT even considering this place. bushido knights ryu is one that is VERY good and VERY nice people! still in broward area too! so go for ANYONE but them! more

THEY WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT!!! 4/19/2011

These people are scam artists! Stay away! After refusing to accept the paperwork they stated would be sufficient to cancel my membership I was FORCED to block them from my bank account. I guess 6 months not being able to take anything got the manager quite frustrated so he went through a different name and stole over $1000 from me! I'm still fighting with the bank to get that money back! more

Park's TKD is very good 10/3/2009

My daughter and I been coming to parks for 3 years now and have achieved black belts together, the testing lasted for three days and was challenging but this experience has brought us closer. We have learned so much together from Park's, my daughter was shy but now she has changed so much. The encouragements we get from the instructors is incredible. They are a no non-sense school that demands nothing but the best from their students. I recommend that you should come by and check out the school for yourself, we have has nothing but a positive experience. Pros: superb school Cons: non more

Best School in Town 9/13/2009

Go see all the rest then come see Park's, you can see the difference. You will learn from Korean Instructors that offer authentic training. They demand respect and discipline. My child has become more focused and confident. I Love their life skill curriculum that they teach, it's a must for every child especially these days and age. I'm a single parent and I need all the help I can get. Master Park along with other instructors have become a positive role models for my family. There are many schools but only one Parks! Pros: nice facility and awesome instructors more

Greedy Park - A Disgrace!!! 6/16/2009

Park's Tae Kwon Do in Coral Springs is THE WORST business we ever encountered. The negative reviews by others here are also experienced by us. Pros: Master Yeo Cons: Park-money hungry, does not practice what it preaches more

It doesn't get better than this... QUALITY! 3/21/2009

My daughter and I are students at the Parks Taekwondo Davie, Florida location. I am a former ballet dancer and I practiced at one of the best dance schools in the country so when I was looking for a Martial Arts school for my daughter (6) I looked at ALL of them to make sure I was finding ""the best"" Martial Arts school...whether it be Taekwondo, karate, or whatever, I wanted to find a place that was not just good, but GREAT! Just as any parent would think....""nothing is good enough for my child"". Of course I went with the intention of signing up just my daughter and I was so impressed with Parks that I ended up signing up MYSELF as well! To make a long story short... the experience I've had in the past almost year has been life changing! My daughter is getting better grades in school, keeping her room clean at home and always ""going the extra mile"" in everything she does. As for myself, I feel healthier because a go to adult classes in the evening after a long day of work and the work out is the best stress relief along with practicing traditional poomse to get my mind focused. We also do a family class on either Friday night or Saturday morning which is always fun. What I've seen on my journey in comparing martial arts school is first the facility... some out there are just plain scary... I would describe the Parks Taekwondo school as and I quote from other parents as well ""impeccably clean"". I've seen 2 of the Park's locations so far and they are very nicely set up - ""good energy"". On a ""Taekwondo education level"" From what I've seen - from new students that have joined my class from other martial arts schools their level of knowledge of forms is ""white belt level"" compared to my class. I see brand new students that are so called ""red belts"" or ""black belts"" from other schools that can't even hang with our orange and green belts! It's just sad to see... so I'm writing this review in hopes that I can help someone that reads this to choose this high quality training facility that is Parks Taekwondo over some place where they will still spend money and not get the value that they would get from Parks. Getting back to my daughter... at one point (around when we first started late last April) She was having trouble focusing in school (resulting in not so great reports) I was having trouble with her at home in some aspects as well. The ""Character Development"" part of the curriculum at Parks helped with both tremendously! (It's amazing what shiny silver and gold and colored stripes on a Taekwondo belt can do). Master Shick personally took the time to speak to my daughter and I after class on many occasions to work through all these issues. It's so nice that even though there are literally hundreds of students at each of the Parks schools that they seem to make time for each and every one of them above and beyond what is expected (from me). The instructors ALWAYS follow up regarding any issues... its amazing the organizational skills it must take to keep track so perfectly of all the students. They take the time to get to know and help each student and family on a personal level. It's very welcoming. The world would be a much better place if everyone went to Parks Taekwondo! ;-) Pros: Too many to list here Cons: There isn't a Parks Taekwondo in every city in south Florida more

Stay Away from Park's Tae Kwon Do 1/10/2009

Classes are overcrowded (often 30-40 students with 1 instructor) and often playtime, not Tae Kwon Do instruction. Classes are 30 minutes rather than the 45-60 minutes offered at other schools. They do not teach Forms and actual Tae Kwon Do unless you sign up for the Master's Club (see below). They just teach a few different punches and kicks (no Forms) and call it ""assessment level"". They sign your contract then alter the written terms before giving you a copy of the contract. They attach an extra page to your copy of the contract that has terms never disclosed or discussed. They charge exorbitant testing fees and test every 6 weeks. If you don't test, they expel you and charge you a fee of $150-$500 depending on your rank. If you don't pass, you re-test (at an additional fee) in another week. If you try to cancel the contract, they charge you $75 for every lesson you have ever taken! They hold special winter camps for $200 when the kids are out of school and cancel all regular classes so that only the students that pay the additional $200 can attend classes. Everything is about money. They constantly try to get the kids to solicit new business for them at their schools (potential new customers) by offering them $1 off ice cream coupons. Friends that come in are then harassed by constant sales calls. One-two months after you sign initial contract you are given a special invitation to the Master's Club. Of course, everyone gets an invite. The Master's Club requires a 4-5 year written commitment of $10,000, $200 per month. They want a $5,000 deposit. You are continually harassed by telephone and in person to join. If you don't join the Master's Club, you have to leave at the end of your contract. Just go show your green belt and moves to any other Tae Kwon Do school; see their shocked faces when you don't know how to do any Forms. All of your Park's training won't be worth more than a white belt at any legitimate facility. Park's should be ashamed. Pros: Master Yeo Cons: They do not tell you that you must join ""Master's Club"" to learn actual Tae Kwon Do more

Does not honor contract 8/26/2008

My husband and I advised about Mgmt about a possible relocation when we were aproached about enrolling for their black belt club. We were told we would receive a balance of our payment for services not used and it was added to our contract as an addendum. Six months after our move we have not received payment. Parks does not return our calls, inquiries or mail. We traveled to Fl to resolve this in person but after an ackward conversation with a much embarassed Parks we received empty promises. Parks does not honor his word and has no integrity. They were reported to the Better Business Bureau and we are considering hiring an attorney soon. They are great to you until you sign that check. My son feels betrayed by the school. The damage done to him is beyond words. Pros: Within walking distance to my home Cons: Too expensive and does not honor their contracts more

Bad business skills 10/24/2007

The instructors are great here...I can't say that about the management. There is always a ""today special value"" and hidden costs. Do not get sucked into Prepaying. He makes special deals and leaves out the hidden costs. Board Night its $1 a board...who can break just one? There is extra fees for belt tests...better classes and clubs. Make sure you get everything in writing and go over all the fine print. Do not trust his word unless it is accompanied by his signature...and maybe you should take a witness.... Pros: good instructors Cons: You have to deal with the owners prepay deals and hidden costs...the month is not really free, more
