VEEERRRRRYYYY RELAXING! 2/19/2007

As a middle aged, blue run skier, I loved pArk City. We skiied it with our kids when they were building the Olympic Parks and everybody enjoyed it. Back again this January with just my husband and we were very comfortable even as out of shape as we were. The trails home in the afternoons were thoughtless, just glide all the way home. (Remember if you go to the back mountains that it is a long way back down to the resort! Save some strength!) We skied everywhere and the mountain hosts that were at the top of every lift were a great asset to the resort and to us. Tell them what you're looking for as far as ability, powder, whatever and they'll provide you good advice on where to ski! Even though our condo was across the streeet, we drove to the parking lot at the base of the resort and parked about 20 feet from the lift lines before putting on boots. It doesn't get any better than that!!!! Pros: lodging, getting there, parking more

Can't beat Park City, Utah 2/19/2007

After skiing pretty much everywhere in the US (VT, NH, CO, CA, and MT) nothing compares to Utah and if apres ski is your thing Park City is the place. Booze laws are a little screwy, but ask a local (who are always friendly) you can figure it out. When I go I try to avoid PCMR on Saturday, but with the Canyons and Deer Valley a short free shuttle ride away you can avoid the big crowds. Terrain is very diverse at all three resorts. If you want steep and deep just follow the guys and girls with fat skis and clothes that don't match. You may have to hike a little, but sometimes a little exercise is good for you. Another bonus is the base elevations are lower so altitude sickness is not a problem like in CO. Just ask my extremely fit wife, it's a sure way to ruin a good vacation. If funds are tight you can stay at the downtown SLC hotels and rent a car. From there you can choose to ski the other canyons (Big and Little Cottonwood) in about a 40 minute drive. It takes longer to just drive around Denver these days, let alone get to a ski resort. In the US there is no comparison to Utah, especially Park City for the whole package. Great terrain, great snow, great food, great people, great scenery and easy in - easy out. GO UTAH.\r \r Pros: Everything, especially Signature Trails at PCMR, nothing better for older knees than groomed Black Diamonds.\r Cons: Nothing, except maybe price, but if you didn't already know skiing was expensive wake up! more

Park City Mountain Resortis on the Rise! 3/19/2006

these guys have turned it on in the last few years. I cannot believe how much they have done for snowboarding or how good the food and grooming have gotten. you have to check this place out. no lines! Pros: grooming, food, terrain parks more

the best 11/10/2005

I am an old, good, intermediate skier and Park City was made for my style of skiing. I can be challenged. or relax on a well groomed run. The staff are most friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place to spend days or weeks. I also like Deer Valley because there are no boarders, but the groomed runs that I enjoy running are equal at both resorts. I have only skied the Canyons once and found it very pleasurable. Arrive early and you can park right next to the ticket booth and first lift. Pros: snow/condition, staff, town Cons: pricey more

Park City Rules! 10/16/2005

My family and I used to go to Aspen yearly, we loved the slopes. We went to Park City with some friends and fell fast in love with the town, so much so that we bought a condo! The people are great, the food is unreal and it is always fun when Sundance Festaval is in town!!! Go Park City!! Pros: Family Fun, Lots of Attractions more

Park City Rocks! 12/12/2004

This world class resort has excellent slopes and the greatest snow ever. It is has the town whichis home to an outrageous party scene for a ski town. Pros: Snow, Crowds, Parks more

Plethora of Monotone 1/15/2003

With similar runs cut on every mountain, I do not suggest PCMR, especially when considering the other great resorts that exist in the Wasatch Range. A good beginner resort--but if you are looking for more advanced terrain and better snow, look elsewhere(i.e. the Cottonwood Canyons). Pros: conveniency, high speed lifts, grooming Cons: terrain, snow, prices more

Simply awesome! 11/13/2002

This truly is the best all-around ski resort in the Park City area. There are an abundance of runs for EVERY skier in your group - from beginners to the experts. If you ski during the week, the lines are never a hassle. And if you have any questions or problems, there is always a PCMR staff member close by to lend a hand. This resort is first rate! more

Miles of Snow 11/12/2002

Even with the miles of trails that Park City offers, ranging from Beginner to Expert, you can still find something new to excite you, even if you have to hike a little ways. Even with the high speed six packs, Park City can be a little crowded on the weekends. Overall, it is a blast to ski especially after a powder dump from the ski. Pros: Six-pack lift, Location, Ice rink Cons: Price, Crowds, mid-day parking more

The Best ever 11/12/2002

I think that the the best resort in the utah is the park city mounatin resort. There is no reson why it should not be it is all that and there is nothing wrong with it. Pros: best ever more

Excellent!!! 11/12/2002

Park City is a must for any avid skier or snowboarder!!! The snow is great, the atmosphere is great, and its an excellent place overall to ski or snowboard. Underground parking and facilities are great too! Pros: underground parking, ski lifts Cons: price more

Good for Learning...Not for Performing 11/12/2002

This is a great resort to learn at. It has great runs for the Intermedete skier as well. However, if you want more chalenging terrian I would not go to Park City. The toughest run there is Jupiter and thats it. If your looking for a real challenge try Snowbird of Snow Basin. The terrian park is great at Park City and it has some great mogul runs as well :) Pros: Great terrian park, Good mogul runs, Good for Beginers Cons: Crowded (sometimes), Only one hard run more

Top Ten?! No way. 11/12/2002

Too many out-of-towners. Too little snow. The only good runs in the whole resort at in thaynes and Jupiter Bowl. Don't waste your money here. Go to Solitude or Alta or the Bird Pros: Location, Nite Life, Facilities Cons: Cost, Snow, Crowds more

Park City does Party ! 11/12/2002

Traveled to Park City for the 2002 Olympics- AWESOME. Every said Utah would be boring- NOT. Loved Utah so much, I moved here. Well, I moved to Park City and it's a great place. Snow in Utah kicks Colorado's butt (no offense CO). The snow is dry in Utah. Sounds weird but it makes powder sking the best. Pros: Great snow, Great Food, Gorgeous girls Cons: Bars close at 12 AM more

PARK CITY--BEST SKI RESORT EVER!! 11/12/2002

Overall the best ski resort in the U.S.! Even if it's not enjoyable, there are two other resorts right in the city! Go there, it is beautiful, and worth the price even if you just ride around on the ski lifts! Pros: Worth The Expense, Beautiful Terrain, No Boarders Allowed! Cons: Parking, Slightly Crowded more

Over rated 11/7/2002

This place might be good if your a skier. But I'm a snowboarder who was not impressed by it. Every time I would try to have fun the ski patrol was right there to tell me to stop building that kicker or slow down or no drinking on the mountain. How the hell are you supposed to have fun on this mountain If the ""ski patrol"" is always there to yell at you. This place sucked. Boarders stay at Brighton more

best ski resort in U.S. 11/5/2002

This is my favorite ski resort I have been to there are lots of runs for all performace levels it is GREAT!!!! Pros: fast lines, powder Cons: parking, expensive more
