I went to see The Kills here on May 24th, 2008 and I got the worst customer service I've ever experienced from bartenders. I've never been so blatantly ignored by a bartener, and I'm a bartender myself, so I know what good service is, and I also know how to not be an annoying customer who deserves to be ignored a little. I was at the bar before the band started and didn't get a drink in my hand until the end of their 4th song, and the bar was NOT that busy since everyone was watching the band. If you see a skinny girl with dark straight hair who is bartending like she just did some heroin, don't even bother to try to get a drink from her. And the same goes for a guy with short hair and glass with a little paunch. These people look at ten times and still not serve you, no matter how nice you are or how much money is in your hand. If there's a lanky, skinny guy with long hair bartending just go straight to him, because he's cool and actually knows how to serve somebody. It's too bad he had to share all of his tips with the other two wastes of space that night. If not for him and the great set by The Kills, my night would have been very disappointing. I don't think I'll be returning to The Parish any time soon, and I dont recommend anybody else does unless you really want to see the band.
Cons: service and the lack of air-conditioning
