They filed Bankruptcy in 10/2013.Tells you the status of their business. I am an owner that put my RV in their rental fleet. They do not take care of repairs and do not pay out owners. My passenger side mirror was broken over 2 years ago. Still not replaced. We have called Bruce and Misty numerous times and just get run around. So if you want the run around use Pappys. more

As a private RV owner allowing Pappy's to rent my RV to private parties I can tell you to be careful. RVs at Pappy's are not late model units and are not well maintained, little things like broken shades and awnings to real inconveniences like generator, air conditioning and leveling system failures. Bruce Powell and Misty make many commitments to owners and renters but forget or can not be reached for follow through. Examples in my own experience include the RV being sent out with out current registration, a cargo strap holding the roof access door closed, broken blinds. unreliable generator due to poor maintenance, faulty RV batteries and the RV being rented after hitting a deer and before the body damage was repaired. If you rent from Pappy's you are taking the risk that you will encounter, inconvenient or disruptive problems during your trip. I would not recommend this rental company. more

I have an absolute horrible encountering dealing with Pappy's RV Rentals as we have experienced some crappy customer service from Bruce and Misty:\r \r 1) Calls to Bruce regarding functionality of the RV such as the generator during our trip were never returned despite leaving voicemails.\r \r 2) Generator was not functioning during the last 1 1/2 days of our trip, we were told that a button or switch on the generator itself fell off. The generator was behind a couple of panels on the side. We had no idea where it was or attempted to fix it ourselves. However, Misty was accusing us of tempering with it. She questioned us on how the button or switch fell off or has gone missing. I don't think popping loose by itself is a possibility in Misty's mind.\r \r 3) Despite our best effort to clean the RV before we returned back to them, we were charged extra $75 for the cleaning fee on top of the $125 we've already paid and charged. When questioning about the extra $75, we were told that the RV was returned in an extra filthy condition, ""the worst condition I have ever seen!"" in Misty's word. However, during my conversation with Bruce, he only told me that the carpet in the living area was in pristine condition and that it was dirty when we returned it. Luckily, we took pictures of the RV and one of them was actually on the carpet. We sent the picture in via email to dispute the charges and we did not hear back from anyone. I've placed a call and talked to Misty about the extra cleaning charges and she was just horrible.\r \r We will not ever rent another RV from this place again. Absolutely NOT, not even it's free.\r \r I have uploaded the picture to showcase the carpet in its ""pristine"" condition. Judge for yourselves. more

I had a great trip when I rented from Pappy's. Nothing went wrong. By the time I got back into town I was exhausted and was not looking forward to bringing the RV back in because I thought there would be a ton of drop-off paperwork, but the process was very easy and I was sent on my way. Thanks Pappy's!! more

This was a great alternative to camping and was fun for our family. They made the process easy and its something we would probably do again. more

Everything from dealing with Pappy;s over the phone, to the actual rental was great. Overall I am very happy that I chose to rent from Pappy's and will definitely consider traveling with a motor-home more often now because this was such a pleasant experience. more

we took one of pappys motor homes out for about a week. We put on a few miles but never had any trouble with the RV. It was well maintained and neat and clean inside. The worry free cruising made for a great family experience I hope my kids will remember for a long time. more

They had a great RV here for us, something not too big and easy f or me to handle. We had a great trip in a great RV that was just right for the 3 of us. We would definitely do this again since it was so fun and easy. Pappys supplied a really nice motor coach for us. more

We bought a tent trailer and was told by Robert, and employee at Pappy's that if we paid him he would fix our broken lift cables, and promised to have them done in 2 weeks. We paid him upfront. In 2 weeks Robert told us that the mechanic had been fired and the owner, an new mechanic at Pappy's promised to have it done in a week. We kept checking in with Robert, and after 3 MONTHS, we went to Pappy's picked up our trailer, and it had not been fixed, or even looked at, and now another month has gone by, and all we get are excuses and put of as to why we haven't gotten our money back that we paid to have it fixed. Robert tells us he doesn't have the money any longer, and the owner said he doesn't know anything about it. more

We've never done reviews, but we though anyone willing to do a search on Pappy's Motorhome Rentals before renting a motorhome deserved to know what they were getting into! First thing I would say is don't even bother - but if you decide to check Pappy's Motorhome Rentals out, here are some very important things to keep your eye out for. Make sure all bolts are tightened on the motorhome before you drive it- ALL BOLTS! Driving down the freeway at 60 Mph in a rain storm and having the engine cover blow off in the cab of the motorhome is very unsafe! Bring lots of bleach to clean up the mouse droppings before you put your food and dishes in the cupboards. Make sure you bring extra bungee cords, large and small, to hold together all the parts that are falling of! Last but not least, when they tell you that it will take up to 10 days to get your $1,000 deposit back after you bring back the motorhome cleaner then it has ever been, just know it will be over a month before you actually get it back.
