Last fall, it took them EIGHT (8) hours to groom my dog. My dog came home ILL! They over-book and so one's dog can sit for hours and hours! They did a nice job with the cut, but, they charged me $100! They 'thought' I wanted something I never knew existed for a cut, and, said I asked for that. I did not. I felt tricked. This has happened before. I went back, because I went there for over 5 years. I feel they are kind to the animals, and, do a pretty good job, but, since they've had this new place, the workers are VERY rude, from on the phone to in person. I always give a $25 tip for my dog's grooming. This time, with a $100 bill I did not ask for, usually, it is $65, I told them NO tip. The least they could have done was told me the cost, or, called me or let me know it would be this price. They did not say a word, and, when I was upset about the 8 hours and my dog ill, and, a $100 bill, they acted like I was the one 'crazy' or something. The lady Cathy, the manager, used to be SO nice when their office was on North Ave. They needed more room. The new place is nice, but, their attitudes of workers are HORRIBLE! I felt 'ugly' inside after I left, like I did something wrong. I felt guilty in not giving a tip. But, they took advantage of me and they were rude and combative and NEVER apologized for any of this. WHY was it 8 hours? They said they over booked. WHY should my dog suffer then and come home sick? I will NOT go there again. I've been going there over 5 years, and, my family went there for over 10 years. They won't go there anymore, either. I know, nothing is perfect and people have bad days. But, there is NO reason to be rude. And, NO reason to keep a dog in a cage for 8 hours because they over-book. It's a shame, because some of the groomers there are superb. Even, in the past when giving a tip, they never say, 'thank you.' It is just expected? I give good tips for my dog's grooming, always have. But, I'd rather give the money to a dog charity. Don't go if you don't want to feel cheated and taken advantage of, and, come home with a sick dog. RUN for the hills from these people. They've changed!
