Editorial review from Citysearch 8/14/2012

Bases on the positive critics on Citysearch we went to Pacino's. This was a dissappointment. Maybe it's because we are spoiled by the wonderful restaurants in our home country The Netherlands but 1. the older, badly English speaking waiter was far from friendly, had a big rush and didn't have any respect for us als guests because he started talking long before we finished 2. the food was dreadful (bread dough for the pizza's?!) and 3. they charged a 15% fee for service (of which there was none!). Also; my Merlot tasted like cork, fries were soft and the Fanta tasted like soda water because they ran out of flavour. Our children had to choose something else to drink. He didn't take the effort in arranging new ones. NO recommendation if you ask me! more

Awesome 11/25/2008

My husband and I were referred to Pacino's by our hotel. After we dined there we noticed the online reviews and could not believe the negative reviews, because we had the best service and meal of our enitre trip at Pacino's. We even asked to speak to the General Manager, Dimitri, to compliment him on how great his establishments food and service is. The food was moderately priced and delicious, our service was the best and the restaurant was lovely- like a true villa in Italy. We couldn't have been happier. more

Great servers, medicore food, unfriendly host/hostess, double-check menu prices when paying 11/11/2006

Arrived ~7:00PM EST on a Saturday night. Party of 2, first available seating requested. The host with a thick Italian accent handed us a pager, told us no leaving a name was needed, and told us there'd be a 5-10 minute wait. We went to the bar, ordered a couple of Bass beers, and chatted up a storm with the friendly bartender. At ~7:40PM as we were still sitting at the bar, we went back to the host and asked approximately how long the wait was .. it appeared they accidentally left out the second digit of the pager on their log and told us there were 3-4 parties still ahead of us regardless .. even after we were told there was only a 5-10 minute wait 40 minutes ago. We went back to the bar, not 30s later the pager went off. We were immediately seated. Very, very odd! We ordered three items from the awesome waitress (Jamie) .. a 'special' appetizer combo (2 mozzarella wedges, 6 calamaris, and 3 bruchettas, with homeade marinara sauce, $12.95). The bruchetta was good, calamari OK. We also ordered two salads - a chicken caesar ($7.95), and a regular caesar ($3.95). The caesar dressing was horrendous (likely one of the worst caesar dressings we've had), and the chicken on the one salad we ordered with chicken was ice cold and bone dry. We ate it anyway as we were starving :) However .. when we got the bill, the caesar salad rang up $4.95 as opposed to $3.95 - a bit shady to say the least. The manager immediately corrected the bill - no apology given, and we left - giving a large tip to Jamie (the waitress).\r \r To sum it up, Pacino's appetizer combo was OK taste wise .. however expensive at $12.95. The salads were terrible. The host/hostesses even worse. I'm appalled we were overcharged from what was printed clearly on the menu, and even more appalled we were sitting around waiting for 40 minutes due to the host's foul-up. There are many better places to go in Kissimmee or Orlando for Italian food .. we discourage going to Pacino's. Pros: Servers Cons: Host/hostess, Salads, Price more

Lots of food if you are really hungry 8/30/2006

I have had the pleasure of dining at Pacinos several times over the past 10 years and although I have seen prices move up over that period the authentic Italian food has only gotten better. I am a big eater and love the bread and the big portions. The sauce is better than ever. Pros: Great food, wonderful atmosphere Cons: can get busy when Disney lets out during high season. Sometimes a wait. more

Italian Food and great atmosphere 9/9/2002

I had planned a quite evening out with my new bride. We chose Pacino's because we had heard good things. They went out of their way to provide us with a terrific romantic setting in their private wine cellar. The food was excellent and the service made the entire experience very enjoyable. Thanks Pacino's for an unforgettable romantic evening Pros: Privacy, Beautiful ceiling, fine wine more

Disappointed 7/5/2002

Been here before and was happy w/food and services, so came here again and was disappointed. We ordered the clams appetizer and linguine in white clam sauce, both were bitterly salty, I think the chef just pour on the salt instead of sprinkling it! And the bread came out one cold and one warm. Also the waiter had his thumb in the olive oil for the bread dipping as he brought it to the table! The price is not cheap either! Pros: decoration, music Cons: service, food more
