Best

The P.F. Chang's is a great place for authentic Chinese food. Their menu is always wonderful and full of lip-smacking delicacies.

Worst

I agree with the other reviewer who noted that P.F. Chang's is directed mostly towards the Western palate. It may be well prepared but is certainly not what an Asian person would ...

Chinese food? 8/6/2002

I wouldn't use the word authentic to describe the food here unless you create a new category called Chinamerican Food. I wouldn't even use that word to describe the clientele. The place seemed to be full of people who cared more about what they were wearing and not what they were going to eat. The food is good but I won't go back unless I need to be a socialite. Pros: Vallet parking if, driving up in the, hoopty doesn't matter more

Chinese via Arizona 7/30/2002

Whooda thunk that out in Arizona, they could come up with a California-ized Chinese restaurant? Excellent lettuce wraps, world-class Orange Peel Chicken, and a table in the kitchen to keep an eye on your food! Pros: great food, people watch Cons: sometimes pricey, crowded more

chinese Food without the Chinese People 7/30/2002

This is the ONLY place I will eat chinese food. I've seen the back of too many mom and pop chinese resturants to know that the white slime running out the back door is not appitizing. Every time I have ever eaten at P.F.changs (which is over 100) I have had great service, awsome food, and have had so much fun with friends. I'd recomend it for anyone with good taste. Go to Katz's afterwards for desert and coffee just down the street at Westheimer 2 blocks past Montrose!!!! more

Best steamed veggies! 7/26/2002

I go once a week at least to this place (Westheimer / Kirkwood location only) - a lot more laid back than I had expected, which was cool - The ""Budda's Feast"" rocks - a metal steamer full of steamed - healthy (or stir-fried) array of the freshest and yummiest asparagus, snap peas - I think, carrots, mushrooms, and baby corn - best steamed veggie at any Chinese place in town. Calamari (super tender) is always good - not greasy - must have the sauce that they mix for you - oh yeah, and sake on tap! Right On! If you are a RED wine drinker - beware....they keep it chilled! Pros: Calamari, atmosphere, great food for the $ Cons: Smoking in bar only, no reservations taken more

worth the wait 7/26/2002

Best wait staff in Houston! They are almost as good as the food. more

The best chinese 7/25/2002

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN..... Excellent food! If you are looking for a CLEAN well maintained chinese restuarant... this is the place! The waitstaff is very friendly. Go during early afternoon otherwise expect a wait. more

Wonderful Place 7/24/2002

P.F. Chang's has exceptional food, and a wonderful atmosphere, especially for special occasions. The portions are a bit small, especially for what you pay, but the food is cooked to perfection. If you are celebrating a birthday, make sure you tell the hostess; the cake is divine. Pros: delicious, friendly Cons: Expensive, small portions, crowded more

ENTERTAINING 7/24/2002

THIS BISTRO HAS GOOD FOOD AND DRINKS WITH A UPBEAT ATMOSPHERE WHERE PEOPLE CAN SOCIALIZE, EAT AND HAVE SOME GOOD FUN. more

My favorite! 7/9/2002

I make it a habit to eat at PF Chang's at least 5 or 6 times a month. Maybe more. I really like the new location Westheimer and Kirkwood. The atmosphere is less snooty and more laid back. The one inside the loop is uptight and everyone thinks they stepped out of GQ or Vogue :) I guess it's just the area......... Overall, this is my absolute favorite. I would definetely recommend for Salt and Pepper Calamari for appetizer Chang's Spicy Chicken and Mongolian Beef for the main course. Pros: Delicious food, Nice atmosphere, Not too expensive Cons: Slow service, Usually a wait more

Your gonna love this place!! 6/10/2002

P. F. Changs was first introduced to me by some friends when i was in detroit, and after that, i insisted that my family try it down here. The food may not be really authentic, but it was very good, the people were very friendly and catered to our every need. I went with my family of five and we only waited about fifteen minutes, which was very good, and it would be fun to take a large group there. The atmosphere is plesent and fun, but just a little loud, so bring your buddies, and your gonna have a great time, i guarantee you will have a good time. Pros: Very good food, Good parking, Fun Cons: some what crowded, Kinda slow service, some what expensive more

Completely NOT authentic! 5/24/2002

The first time I went to PF Chang's, I did not have a pleasant experience. The food was completely unauthentic, and the service was sooooo slow and insulting. When I asked for salt, the waitress refused...saying that in China, only soy sauce was used. So what?! The atmosphere is nice, but that is just about the only thing that is good about this place. Cons: Slow Service, Small Portions, Unauthentic Food more
