The food took over an hour for delivery and was pretty cold by the time we received it. I also paid for extra broccoli in one of my dishes, but it definitely did not have any extra. more

Let me preface this be saying I've generally had positive experiences at P.F. Chang's. I've gone 3-4 times, but in different cities. The P.F. Chang's on Boylston was dreadful. The restaurant itself was clean and the service was fine. The food was awful. We ordered hot & sour soup and it was way too heavy and syrupy. The chicken lettuce wraps were fine. My friend and I shared crispy honey shrimp and sweet & sour pork. Both were pretty bad. The glaze on both sauces were thick and somewhat stale. I really got the feeling that they made a huge batch of each dish and laid them out under heating lamps like a buffet. It was that bad. We couldn't finish our plates. The Prudential Center location was awful. We went tonight -on a Monday ,thinking it would be quick meal and we were there an hour and a half. The wait to get a table wasn't long. The wait to get food was long. Lettuce wraps took so long to come out. Then had to wait another half hour for soup and steamed dumplings. My husband's crispy chicken was soggy. We said, ""Is this the crispy honey chicken?"" The waiter said yes and walked away. Didn't inquire why we asked. He was nice but never asked how our meal was. Very disappointed. I have been amazed by the difference in service between this location (Prudential) vs. the other (Theater District). Much like having two Denny's (IHOP's, etc.) in a town, you have a good one and a bad one....this is the ""bad"" Denny's. Surprisingly, the taste difference is significant. Perhaps the Theater District has better cooks or more experience, but either way, you can not dismiss the difference. Don't get me wrong...both PF Changs get dirty as the night rolls on. Cleans floors and clean tables do not appear to be a high priority. The service can be lackluster. However, at least the food at the Theater District is what you expect from a PF Changs. This is the worst service I have ever had in a P.F. Chang restaurant! We went here because we were celebrating my sister-in law's bachelorette party. My sister called prior to make reservations and the hostess gave her an attitude on the phone. We arrived promptly at 8:30 (time of our reservations) and we still had to wait another ten minutes, attitude included again. We got seated, it took the waitress an eternity to come over and ordered drinks and water. It took fifteen mintes for the drinks to come and another ten to just get water. She finally placed our order for food. We received our food from the bus staff and I had to ask them to see the waitress so we could get more drinks. She came over and we were almost done with our foood and then received drinks. \r Then she spilt a pitcher of water on my friend and i tried to help clean with napkin. The waitress snarled at me and said, ""That will not soak it up, let me get a towel."" I said very politely, ok that's fine. She finally came back, wiped it up, and no apology. Then we wanted more sauced mixed up but by the time she came back to make it, our food was almost finished. However, she was quick to come over and collect out bill, of course. What a surprise when she saw we left a ten percent tip! My sister complained to the manager and all we got was his business card and he said he would take care of us the next time we come in. What good will this do! I will never step foot in there again. With the cost of everything these days, you expect to go out to dinner and get good service at a high end restaurant like this. Also, we were very polite to the waitress through the entire experiece. I understand if someone is having an ""off"" night, but she never apologized once. I think the manager needs to give his staff a lesson on good manners and politeness. Apparanelty this waitress never learned these qualities. The space is beautiful and the staff is super nice and accommodating. The food is really VERY tasty. For apps we shared the vegetarian lettuce wraps and the northern style short ribs. Both were very good but WAY too much sodium (MSG??). For entrees we had the roasted duck with steamed buns and the Ma Po Tofu. The duck was excellent. The tofu dish was again VERY delicious; but it was swimming in oil and was loaded with salt. Overall we had enough food for about four people. We brought the leftovers home and had enough for lunch AND dinner. (Of course now we've had our monthly allowance of salt!!) We had a glass of wine and a large beer and the total bill was $57. I have never been this upset over a dining experience that I just had to come home and immediately write a review to warn others against ever thinking of dining at this location! I have eaten at their Seattle Westlake location and the one in the Theater District. Both of those locations were decent. However, this Prudential location is just unacceptable. Here's a run down of everything that went WRONG tonight:\r 1) When we arrived, the hostess told us that we'll have to wait 40 minutes for a table. Since we were hungry, we decided to stop by the bar to order drinks and appetizers. However, just moments after we finally had our chance to order, our table was ready. That was fine with us BUT apparently that was a BIG problem for them because both of our waiters at the bar and the restaurant upstairs were verbally upset over the difficulty of finding our food.\r 2) When my white wine DID arrive, the wine glass had a large STAIN on the bottom of the glass. And yes, our water did not arrive AFTER the drinks.\r 3) The upstair dining area was smoked filled as if they had a ventilation problem. The place not only smells like smoke, but it was VERY cloudy up there.\r 4) We ordered the popular chicken lettuce wrap appetizer, BUT our server did not ask us how we like the sauce. He just mixed everything up, which of course turned out too be too spicy for me. Oh yeah, the fried white noodle in that dish was soggy for the most part along with SEVERAL ridiculously hard pieces.\r 5) As if all of these weren't enough, my delicious Oolong marinated sea bass was served as if someone had just threw the nice piece of fish on my plate. There were tiny pieces of fish over the spinach and parts of the fish was turned over. Burnt edges did not help either.\r 6) And yes, we waited for a VERY long time for service! Also, our waiter didn't bother to come by to ask us how we liked the food.\r As the previous reviewer suggested, go to the one in the Theater District and NOT this location! You decide:\r \r 8:30pm reservation turned into a 9:00pm seating. We even arrived at 7:15pm to see if the wait would be better than the reservation time - the wait would have sat us down at 8:30pm anyway so we just waited. Regardless, it was obvious that they were sitting parties that were clearly there after us who did not have reservations. We were there long enough so we pretty much could have seated tables ourselves. The hostess said the reservations accidentally got changed to 9:15pm (even though she said at 8:30pm that our table was next). Food runners were mixing up dinners and appetizers at multiple tables near us. Our appetizers went to the wrong table (apparently they were drunk enough to just eat them and not ask questions - maybe we should have sat with them!). Our entrees were ready so we cancelled the apps yet 2 minutes after getting our meals the appetizers came. Our waiter was probably the only positive experience as he was very nice and helpful. He ended up taking the apps off of our bill. One of us found a hair in our dinner - that was also taken off the bill.\r My rating to not recommend it is based on just this location at the Pru and it's lack of readiness to open and be fully functioning. I've always had an awesome experience at the one in the Theater District. The food was good regardless of our experience and minus the hair.
