I have never in my life encountered such a rude BITCH! (excuse my language) My trash day is on Mondays, I paid for trash Service On a Friday and when Monday came my trash was still on my curb side. I simply called to see what was going on. A lady answered whom would not release her name, and refused to let me speak with her superior. She repeatedly hung up on me and would pick up the phone and sit it down. She informed me that I did not have and Ottawa Trash can, and that's why my trash was not picked up. I had ordered a trash can and it was never delivered to me, and would they have rather of me thrown the trash on the ground. that's when she informed me that I could not use there service and to come get a refund. I again asked her to give me her bosses phone number or name, She said "" You are speaking to her"" I told her that the City of Ottawa would hear about this and she said : Good Luck with that and hung up"" I did nothing wrong but ask question. I called back and I also recently got married and I had an old account at my pervious address under another name"" She proceeded to insult me last name and hung up again more

this is the worst company i have ever dealt with in any line of work. their billing department is one old, crotchety hag who refuses to let you talk to anyone else and will repeatedly hang up on you if she doesn't want to deal with you. their hours are sporadic at best. there is frequently nobody in the office if the ladies up front want to leave early and none of the guys sitting in there will EVER help. please, search for more reviews. they have several cases against them with the BBB and people have reported them unexpectedly cancelling service and dumping the contents of the trash can in your lawn to get their garbage back. i have even gone in there to ask to speak with someone other than the demon up front and i get asked to leave. all i wanted to do was find out why their site says it's secure (when it's not, check the specs on their certification), why they can't apply payments just based on an account number (they told me that my payment was in limbo. they kept my money without giving me service), and why i keep getting hung up on. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. there are reviews of them taking payments and denying service and then not showing up to future meetings. the chamber of commerce and local officials know that this total witch works there, but there is nothing we can seem to do since it's a private company. nothing except leave and never use their service again. please, please, PLEASE do not use Ottawa sanitation. more

Trash wasn't picked up - called to find out why. Told her I was going to discontinue service she said my service was shut off and hung up in my face. I have never been treated that way by a business. Been a customer for 13 years - wish I would have known their reputation sooner. New trash company said they get customers all the time because of Ottawa being so rude.
