The quality of the sushi in this joint is unbeatable. Having tried many Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area, SF, and NY, Osho is still my hands down favorite. Joe-san (head sushi...

Worst

Having read previous reviews of Osho, I was expecting some good if not great things in terms of food and service. I have to say that I am deeply disappointed with the quality of ...

horrible food and service. nothing is fresh and well made. annoyed and rude chinese waitresses. 3/29/2007

i have never had japanese food this bad. they handroll is horrible and so are the sushi. service was horrible too. Cons: everything was horrible more

Just a tad above average 7/11/2006

Decent restaurant with above average sushi. Service was decent, and Osho was able to accommodate our group in a Tatami Room. However, I did feel that the prices were steep for the specialty rolls compared to other restaurants with the same type of rolls like the Caterpillar, Spider, and Dragon rolls. The servings for appetizers like the Agedashi Tofu and Chicken Karaage had to be doublesized. Overall, definitely I did not feel that we received the value expected for what we paid. Pros: Large, clean restaurant Cons: Location and value more

Way Overpriced For The Quality 9/19/2005

Having read previous reviews of Osho, I was expecting some good if not great things in terms of food and service. I have to say that I am deeply disappointed with the quality of food here. Although the food is good to the uninitiated palate, those who had better can certaingly agree that there are much better quality fish at other Bay Area destinations. The prices here were very high for the quality you get and the selection is very limited. I say do your homework and try some of the other places which offer better fare at a more reasonable price. Pros: tempura, atmosphere, service Cons: sushi, sashimi more

The best sushi.... 6/30/2002

The quality of the sushi in this joint is unbeatable. Having tried many Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area, SF, and NY, Osho is still my hands down favorite. Joe-san (head sushi chef and owner) prepares each slice of melt-in-your-mouth, fresher-than-life sashimi to perfection. Osho's uni (sea urchin) is rich and is just the right consistency of firm flan. Their lobster sashimi is so fresh that the shell is still twitching when the waitress brings it to your table! If you're a little less adventurous, the hamachi and buri (both types of yellowtail tuna) are reliably tasty, and here are two more favorites: sake jiatsuke (soupy rice with tea, seaweed, salmon, shaved bonito, sesame seeds, and wasabi added to your liking--not on the menu) and the kani (crab) special (baked crab with special seasoning and flavoring). As for the decor, it isn't anything trendy or flamboyant; it's traditional. Pros: best sushi, good service Cons: parking lot is small, location more
