I celebrated my fiftieth birthday here recently with my family and friends and it couldn't have been more spectacular. The place is a tiny townhouse tucked away in the Village (it's not easy to find because it's located on a one way street). If you're driving, you can park directly across the street from the restaurant which by the way, doesn't have a sign! Once inside you are treated to wonderful food, gracious and attentive service and ambiance that just isn't found at many restaurants. This place is very upscale and has been named as one of the most romantic restaurants in NYC.
The small inviting bar and waiting area greets you as you enter the restaurant which is actually on two levels.
Our party of seven was treated to a center dining room table that was adorned with a bowl of fresh fragrant roses and was beautifully set. The menu is prix fix and we dined on multiple courses which includes sumptuous appetizers, amazing entrees of lobster, rack of lamb and beef, salads and tantalizing desserts. And of course, champagne!
What a way to celebrate a birthday!
