I went there with a group of friends. I put down my credit card to start our tab. I can understand a $50 hold being placed on it and that's fine. But I am looking at my credit card statement now and I have multiple charges on it. They charged $50, $25, $25, $25, $36.75 on my card. Bad thing is, my friend paid our tab. The tab for the drinks was only like $120 and he left a $30 tip. I had him call to make sure they charged his card and they did. So wtf? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Will never go there again. Going through bank disputes now trying to get my money back.. Money I didn't even spend. more

Recently went here with a group of friends to drink and smoke cigars. I must say that they are very shady! Actually, its called On the Rox and its on Jones Rd. They take your debit card, and make you think that they are ""drawing you up a tab"". When you want to leave and ask to get it back and pay, its like pulling teeth to get it back. Afterward, you have a bill under $5.00 like I did, and they charge $50.00 on your debit card. They did this to me last night, and because of it I have not been able to purchase any necessities or even go anywhere else to eat. They claim that at midnight the money will be re credited, and that it was done as a security charge or something. They tried to gyp me and got caught is what I say. Not enough pool tables or other things to do. Extremely expensive drinks. Just not worth it! Pros: Best if with a group of friends, otherwise BORING! Cons: Took my money and caused me alot of problems due to this! more

After a bad night we got a call from the owner and he sincerely apologized and made up for the indiscretion. Pros: Great Band more

Would be a great place to have a few drinks I suppose but not a good place for your tobacco needs. The staff doesn't know anything about the tobacco that they sell. Don't expect to go in there asking for a good Virginia/perique or a good english blend and expect them to point you in the right direction. They can't tell you the brand or maker/blender of any of their tobaccos. The ones that I did try were somewhat moist, heavily cased and harsh on the tongue. I'm not a cigar smoker so I don't know anything of their selection in that department. Might be a better place to get your cigars than pipe tobacco. I may go there just for a few drinks one day since it's right down the road but I'll stick to shopping for my tobac online. If they had some good tobac and were more kowledgable about them then they would see alot more of me. I think a place called ""smoke inn"" should be more geared towards their tobacco then alchohol dont you think? I have been going to this bar alot and I drink REDBUL drinks. I see them use REDBUL in the original cans. Very rarely do they use the RE-fuel drink, and they always ask the customers if they want REDBUL. When someone drinks REDBUL and VODKA, that is exactly what they are serving. Same goes for Jager and red bul. The cigar room is nicely stocked and always a nice staff. Some people are just haters and always look for negative and untruthful things to say about a nice establishment, like this one. I love this bar. Pros: Very nice and EDUCATED staff more

Worst establishment in the Jersey Village Area. There is a better cigar selection at Spec's just down the road, and the bartending staff is horrible. Two friends and I ordered a Jager-bomb, and instead of receiving shots of Jager and Red_Bull we got shots of Jager and Red Fuel, which is apparently some carbonated generic version of Red_Bull. The manager and bartender of ours said this is ""the standard"", although another bartender (along with every other bartender I have ever encountered) said that was ridiculous. I would suggest visiting other venues before planning a night out with friends at a place that will do nothing but make drinks that you did not order. Cons: Bad waitstaff, police always there, they don't know how to make drinks more

I have no idea what these other two guys are talking about. I am a restaurant designer from Midtown and a cigar aficionado. Not only is their cigar selection fantastic (They have both the Opus X and the rare Partagas 160's not to mention at least a 100 others) the environment and ambiance is something you would expect to find in the finer clubs of Midtown. The staff is both helpful and incredibly hot. Don't take my word for it. Look em up on my space. Only complaint is that they have yet to add me to their top friends list. Pros: Great service, Cute staff, Great selection, Great design. Cons: On the NW side of Houston instead of Midtown. more

You would be better off going to Specs liquor to get your selection of smokes. Selection and pricing is poor. Employees are sub-par. Bar atmosphere seems to bring out the dregs of society not the hip metro crowd. Nice location and nice bar, just poorly managed and currently marketed to the wrong crowd.
