Don't EVER think about showing up at 8:30 on a Saturday evening. Maybe it was past their bedtimes.... We are NEW CUSTOMERS to the range...PAID for an extra rifle safety class to shoot rifles at the range. This was our first time back. Drove 30 miles from long beach to be TURNED AWAY at 8:30. Really bad customer service. Staff are disrespectful and rude. Range is also a mess. Prices are a little high. I recently moved to OC, and I read some of the negative reviews before going here, but I decided to give it a fair chance. After several visits, I just can't go here anymore - the staff are TOO RUDE and obviously on a power trip. TWICE on separate visits I was asking a question and staff walked away from me while i was in the middle of talking! I have seen basic SAFETY RULES BROKEN here, by the staff, not kidding. Staff talk to each other on PA, then forget PA is still on and make comments that everyone can hear. I will go somewhere else. I can't believe any place could treat their customers this way and still have a business. more

I have been away from the area for a while, apparently you can't shoot there anymore unless you own a fire arm. I was looking to purchase a hand gun and wanted to see which one I liked. The guy behind the rental desk looked at me like I was crazy and said ""You have to own a fire arm! We don't let people just walk in off the street and shoot!"" This isn't how it used to be and I just didn't know. I am in a combat MOS, this disrespectful SOB with shaggy grey hair behind the desk is an idiot. more

This shooting range is one of the best around. I have been shooting for several years and this one is by far the best i have ever been to.Best gun prices around and the staff is fabulous. they are not only knowledgeable but firm when it come to safety. I was lucky to be there when one of the employees had to kick someone out because that customer was not following the rules. They argued and tried to talk their way out of it but i was happy to see that the employee ( older man, very tall, white hair) didnt budge on the rules. That further proves that this range is a safe one to be at. I have done some searching on line and have read some reviews about this place where the customer was less than satisfied but I believe you disgruntled custmers fail to realize that this is not just a typical biz, ITS A DANGEROUS BIZ, guns are nothing to take lightly. if you dont follow the safety rules be prepared to be kicked out. Dont take it personal its for your safety and the safety of others. and one post i read said something about ON TARGET not ""manning the cameras"" well I feel it nesessary to inform you that there are over 32 cameras watching you. So if you are caught doing something that you are not supposed to (which is why customers get kicked out) they have proof. So stop being so childish and learn that if you follow the rules then you can play.. pretty simple.. keep up the good work guys!! more

I don't know of staff thinks of this as their personal powertrip, or they just don't care enough to treat people with respect. Will never return, and don't recommend the place to anybody. Cons: Rude staff, not very good upkeep more

Place was a mess. The staff cat calls each other on the PA. Then they forget the PA is on and the comment on the shooters. While there is brass everywere and used targets strewn around the bay area. Pros: location Cons: staff more

I wanted to try my new handgun so I went to On Target. They were friendly and I enjoy going there to shoot. I remembered seeing Dirty Harry with a .44 and On Target let me shoot their's for a reasonable price. It's an impressive gun, like the one on the screen. Pros: Good parking, good neighborhood & nice people. more
