when you're here, you're definitely NOT family. 10/25/2011

I called ahead to see if i needed to place a reservation. The person i was talking to cattily replied, "uh, we don't take same-day reservations." so when i got there, it was dead. She could have just told me it wasn't busy but felt the need to be a complete and total jerk. So we ordered, and after a ridiculously long amount of time, we got our food--cold and congealed--and it was pretty much inedible. the waitress noticed our food was completely un-eaten...and yet she didn't offer anything or even ask if our meal tasted okay. basically everyone i came into contact with that worked there was inconsiderate and catty. don't go there. Really. Pros: null Cons: null more

Great Waitress aweful food 9/5/2010

My friend and I came in Aug 13, for my birthday. We were seated quickly and our waitress quickly introduced herself and gave us time to decide. The food was HORRIBLE!!! I got the taste of Italy and my friend had a seafood pasta. The pasta was SOOOO dry like it had been sitting out uncovered all day and the lasagna was burned on one side and mushy on the other. The waitress however, was so sweet and I had asked her not to sing happy birthday or make a scene, so she brought me a cake and whispered Happy Birthday,, her service made up for the TERRIBLE food. Thank you to the girl with short brown hair about 9pm 08-13-10 you made my birthday dinner nice I appreciate your amazing service. more

When you're here, you're desperate for a good meal. 3/2/2010

All of the Olive Garden restaurants are disgusting. This is about as Italian as Millie's burgers. There are no anchovies on the menu. There are no sardines. These fish are a mediteranean delight and their not even offered. If you enjoy eating around a large Mormon population who drink soda pop with their entree and if you enjoy having so called Italian food that tastes like the disgusting deli food offered at Smith's marketplace, then this is the place for you. I recommend that you go to Millie's burger and take along a C.D. player with the music of Dean Martin. The effect will be the same and you won't empty your pocketbook. Pros: Soft and fluffy "Charmin" toilet paper in the restroom. Cons: This is not REAL Italian food. Disgusting food. more

New Year's Disaster! 1/7/2005

I went there with my husband for New Years. The server was probably new, and we had to keep reminding him to bring our drinks and bread. In the end, it sounded like he wanted us to leave ASAP so he could take the check. Horrible experience!!!!!! more

Not True Italian Food 4/8/2004

This is nothing but fast food @ a Sit down Restaurant. True Italian food is not sweet sauce, and true lasagna does not have cottage cheese in it. The only thing worth eating here is the salad & bread sticks Pros: Good location, Inexpensive more

Best of 2004?? 4/8/2004

I'm stunned that this made top of the list by readers. How generic. I recommend to your readers to get out a bit more and live. Kudos to the editors...at least they have taste, and class. more

To Americanized 3/2/2004

It's like a pasta anything goes with lots of salad and breadsticks to fill you up. Not very Italian. I can buy most of whats served in a jar. Young children who are picky eaters will love it. Pros: Big portions, great 4 kids, lots of parking Cons: , noisy chairs, calorie loaded sauces more

Excellent Food/Service 10/29/2003

Fun, Friendly, Tasty . . . 2/2/2003

Very nice, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. They have good quality and consistancy in their menu items and the price is right. A sure bet for an good meal. Only complaint, the server was way too frinedly and perky. She was a bit too overwhelming and pesky in getting our order. Pros: Clean, Good food, Nice decor more

Fill up on soup and salad 5/14/2002

All-you-can-eat soup, salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden is one of the chain-restaurant-world's great dinner deals. And it's actually relatively healthy, if you don't drown your bread in Alfredo sauce and overdo it on the salad dressing and croutons. (They'll charge you at least $1 for a side of sauce, anyway, and that'll add up quick.) You will be seated next to someone who's having a birthday. You will be seated next to a screaming baby. The minestrone soup is not always up to par (sometimes it's too watery). But, especially if you need to stop somewhere off the freeway, this is usually the best choice for cheap Italian eats. Oh -- try not to go on a Sunday afternoon, unless you really want to be trampled by stampeeding post-church patrons. more

Great family atmosphere 5/13/2002

If you're dining out with kids, you almost can't beat the ambiance at Olive Garden. It's a lively, family-friendly place where you can feel at ease with a large group--great for getting in and out quickly, which is a huge plus for parents. Pros: kid-friendly Cons: chain-quality food more
