My husband and I have stayed at the Olde Town Inn three times - every time that we've visited New Orleans. We found it the first time quite by accident (drove into the city without a plan for where to stay), and we were taken with it from the beginning. It is located in an older couple of old houses, and it has lots of character - antique furniture, wood floors, claw-foot tubs. It looks a little worn around the edges, but frankly, we felt it was the perfect New Orleans hotel. The prices are good - much cheaper than hotels right in the heart of the french quarter. Our rooms were always clean and neat, and the staff here is all very friendly. The walk to Bourbon street isn't far, and at the end of the night it is about a $5 cab ride from Bourbon street back to the hotel - in case you aren't up for the walk. If you're looking for a homey, comfortable place to stay, this is the perfect place for you!
