Won't be eating supper 4/23/2010

Well, maybe I can fit a small bowl of cereal inside of me. I just got back from the lunch buffet, and I didn't pace myself. That is hard to do when you're eating at OWP. I was introduced to this pizza several years ago, when it was known as Pizza Factory in South St. Paul and I've been hooked ever since. This is hands down the Best. Pizza. Ever! I don't think I've ever had a bad slice. Pros: PROS: Friendly staff, lots of cheese, fresh ingredients Cons: CONS: I only have so much room in my stomach more

My favorite pizza! 2/22/2009

When we have guests from out of town, this is where we bring them. The pizza is always well topped with plenty of cheese. Our favorite is the BLT pizza. No, it is not what you would think of as traditional Italian, but try it anyway! And, they do a fine job with more traditional pizzas as well. I am always pleased with the great Blue Cheese dressing on the salad bar. The service is good. I have never had to wait long for a drink refill. At the height of lunch hour there is a wait for a table but it is well worth it! We have been to Old World for both the pizza buffet, (lunch time and Monday and Tuesday evenings), and for just pizza and salad on other evenings. It is always a real treat! Pros: Lots of cheese on pizzas. Clean place, owner very involved with all aspects. Cons: None! Really, I mean it. This place is as near perfect as I can imagine! more

Can you say""BEST PIZZA AROUND THE TWIN CITIES' 12/26/2008

I've been going to this place for years! And I have to say this is the best pizza I've had period. I ust to go to Savory's, but this place is the best. I love there sauce and nice thin crust -- . Always great service and good take out too.... Try it -- you won't be disappointed. Pros: Location -price -quality - service - excellent taste. more

Will satisfy any craving 11/9/2007

This is by the far the best pizza i have ever had. I have been to Chicago, New York, and many others(not overseas though) and nothing comes close. My Dad visits from Arizona and He MAKES us eat there atleast once and order the Top of the Line with Sauerkraut, ohhhh it is soooo good...i never liked kraut before i had it on there pizza...My Dad actually buys a pizza to freeze to take back with him. Give it a try you will love it more

The Best Pizza In Town!!! 5/25/2007

Old World Pizza is the best in town hands down. Better than Savoy and Carbone's. The pizza buffet is great and the salad bar is small but good. Worth it!!!! Pros: Pizza Cons: Nothing more

Excellent Every Time 4/3/2007

I've been eating at Old World, or shall I say Pizza Factory for years. Only recently did I have the buffet lunch. The pizza is great, salad is fantastic, and the selection is out of this world! The move to the new location (which was a while ago) really did wonders for the place. I'm glad so many other people have gotten hooked on this place! I love Old World!!!! Pros: Good Price/Value, Great Tasting Everything, and Location Cons: Delivery can be slow (it's just so popular) more

Best Pizza in the State of Minnesota and Best Pizza Money can Buy 2/4/2007

My husband and I try pizza from any town we visit. However, we are absolutely hooked on Old World Pizza. We live about 2 hours north of the Twin Cities. My parents live in Inver Grove Hts. Everytime we visit, we order 2 top of the line with kraut pies...one to eat there and one to take home with us. The one we take home, we order half baked, then we freeze it for the next time we want their pizza, but are too far away to ""drive over and pick it up."" Whenever my family comes up here, they bring a pizza to us...We have eaten at several different pizza places all over the state of Minnesota. We have yet to find a pizza that beats the taste (all fresh, packed with ingredients, with a taste to die for...), the appearance of the pie, and the price. We have had many pizza's from other places that cost a lot but don't give the satisfaction that Old World Pizza provides...also, they don't give up the ingredients like Old World Pizza does. What I mean is there is never an edge that doesn't have a good slice of pepperoni on it or some ingrediant...never just a ""crust"" bite! We highly recommend this pizza to anyone and everyone.....GREAT JOB OLD WORLD PIZZA...you should consider opening a store ""up nort"". See ya next time we are in town. more

This is the Worlds best Pizza! 2/4/2007

This is a pizza joint that is in an easy to get to location, easy parking and an atmosphere that is enjoyable, the pizza is exceptional and has a taste to die for. No skimping on the toppings here, loaded with hot melted cheese. We live almost 14 miles from here and still when we are in the mood for pizza will drive to pick it up. It is more then worth the trip, your taste buds will thank you. When we think of pizza we think of toppings and cheese melted and this is what you will get here. The lunch buffet is a good price and everything is fresh and hot and lots to choose from, this is the best pizza we have ever had....no cardboard taste here like you get with so many of the larger pizza chains. Pros: exceptional taste and value for your dollar , easy to get to location. Cons: can be busy on the weekends but worth the wait more

One of the best in town... 1/20/2007

Honestly, the only bad thing I can communicate about this pizza is the location. Inver Grove...RIGHT! (No wonder there are so many reviews about the buffet) Other than that, this pizza is, oh, so worthwhile!! I believe this and Savoy are the best in town. I honestly don't understand the HUGE HYPE when it comes to P unch and Luce. Both are great but not nearly as tasty as Old World and Savoy! Pros: Taste! Cons: Location! more

Lunch Buffet 11/30/2006

Fine price; they keep the buffet line full, and the pizza is exceptional. Usually pizza from a buffet doesn't taste as good as getting your own pizza, but here it's delicious. Many different varieties, and the alfredo pasta is also great. Pros: Great well-priced lunch buffet Cons: gets a little crowded more

Best Pizza in town 7/21/2006

There is no skimping on the toppings here! These pizzas are excellent and loaded with fresh ingredients. They also have BLT and chicken Alfredo pizzas that are awesome! Great choices if you want a change from the red sauce. They have a great lunch buffet with pasta and salad bar -- seems to be a crowd pleaser as they get very busy during lunch. Nice decor/atmosphere -- clean. They also have outdoor dining. I would highly recommend that you give this place a try -- you'll want to go back! Pros: Best tasting pizza in town. Best pizza lunch buffet. Cons: Gets very busy at lunch time. more

Best Lunch Buffet In Town 7/15/2006

The Old World Pizza has by far one of the best pizzas in the Twin Cities. There is one other place just across the river that might be in a tie with Old World. The staff is a lot more friendly though. They have a really nice atmosphere and the best lunch buffet in town. Pros: Excellent Parking, Friendly service more

Best lunch buffet in town 3/28/2006

This restaurant has a really good lunch buffet. There is also a pasta and salad line to compliment the wide variety of pizzas available. When it gets busy it can take a while for the pizzas to catch up, but that is not unexpected. more

Great Pizza - Slow Service 11/11/2005

Lets give this place a chance to get their service together as they are fairly new. We visited on a Friday night around 7:30. It was busy. We had the Top of the Line house special, large. Lots of fresh toppings and cheese. Hot and very good tasting. Service was very slow, waited almost an hour for a flat style pizza. The medium crust pizza we saw also looked very good. They serve beer too. We witnessed them saying they were sorry about the service to other tables. They didn't charge us for our drinks to compensate but we didn't ask for it. I'll be back for the great pizza and hope they get it together. Pros: Good Pizza, Fresh Toppings, Lots of toppings Cons: Slow Service, Long Wait for Food more

Beats Savoys hands down 9/20/2005

I just went to Savoy's Inn tonight for pizza and had to come and make sure this place got a better review. Now that I've been to both I must say Old World is the best pizza around. Old world actually is a nice place to eat unlike the bar dive Savoy's. The atmosphere alone is enough to choose Old World over Savoy's. If you're looking for a nice place to take family or even have a nice sit down meal of pizza this is the place to go. I can't say enough about this place. Pros: PIZZA, PIZZA, New Place Cons: nothing, nothing, deliv. is a bit slow more
