Great Steakhouse 8/30/2005

When asked to list the top 5 Steakhouses in New York City -- the Old Homestead almost always ranks up there. My husband loves this place. You will not leave here hungry -- the portions are HUGE. It doesn't look like much from the outside -- but it is a staple in the Chelsea/Meat Market district of New York. Food is good, service is fine, portions are large, prices are a little on the high side (but then again, it's NYC!!) more

alot of meat 8/22/2005

i was a little nervous when a friend asked that i meet him for dinner here. i had passed by many times and the facade looked like it was an old, worn down restaurant of times past. inside however, i was in for a bit of a suprise. the decor was nice, the service wasn't rude like you will find in alot of ny steakhouses and the portions - as you would expect - were enormous. i'll definitely be back. more
