it was an excellent experience! there was so much to do! from the moment we walked in, i almost lost the kids! I came in with a younger child not expecting much for her to do but ...

Worst

My experience here was just "so so". The place is crowded, seems to be a teen hangout. Not a place you want to bring really young children to. The food is just OK, nothing to ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/16/2014

My kids with 2 of their friends visited Odyssey Fun World in Naperville on 12/23/13. They went because of their winter special a $15 Extreme Adventure Wrist Band; unlimited laser tag, rides, etc. They arrive & are told there is no special price, so they pay $20 each for the wristband (an extra $5 per kid = a wrist band). They go to play laser tag & have to change equipment 3 times because either the gun or vest is broken. By the time they get working equipment their time is up! I contact OFW & they make good by offering to mail out new wristbands on 12/26/13. As of today (1/16/14) I have yet to receive the wristbands. I left a voice mail msg for Ryan Jacobs, Marketing Dir last week which was never returned. I sent an email this morning asking how we can resolve the issue and this is the email I receive. NICE Customer Service. This is the 2nd time we've gone & were told there was no special price. The first we had the email with us. Unfortunately we did not have it this time, BUT the special was posted all over their Facebook page.\r \r Hi Susan,\r \r Please understand that I went above and beyond and against my better judgment in giving you those 4 wristbands. If they were in fact lost, that would be the first time that has happened in my 4 years at Odyssey. No disrespect is intended, but we did our job in sending it out here and that's all that we can do. I cannot and will not send out another gift certificate and the situation now lies in the hands of you and the postal service. There also are serial numbers on the gc to help us in instances like this, so we will make use of those. Please let me know if it turns up.\r \r Respectfully, \r \r Ryan Jacobs more

Odyssey Pumpkin Farm: Big Disappointment 10/13/2011

We attended Odyssey Pumpkin Farm October 10 around noon. It is not a farm or even a pumpkin patch ? just a barren area adjacent to a corn field with tents and bounce houses for "rides."\r \r The animals at the petting zoo looked overheated and sickly ? apparently without much hydration or shelter. Our 5-year-old daughter got knocked around and kicked in the head because the activities are unsupervised by untrained teenagers who let it become a free-for-all ? and that's if there happens to be an attendant. Food is more expensive than Bengston's ? $3.50 for an ear of corn!\r \r We got there, paid an additional $3 to go through "The Beast" (probably the best thing there), headed towards the animals and bounce houses and soon realized it was time to go. We didn't even want to see the other "attractions." About $50 bucks down the drain.\r \r Website totally misrepresents the place with stock photos that seem real. For a more accurate idea, look at the pictures on their Facebook page whic more

They Need To Hire A Proper Cleaning Crew 6/4/2011

1. DIRTY. Floors were sticky and visually dirty in party room. Equipment in the Exploration Adventure was just disgusting with dirty smears of I don't know what all over the place. They obviously DO NOT mop here or wipe down anything. 2. BROKEN GAMES. Most of the games kids put tokens in to play either didn't work and had signs that said so or just took the kids money and didn't work. 3. UN-HELPFUL STAFF. Our party server wasn't too bad but when I couldn't find her I was on my own. The place is "run" by teens. These were the three major issues that would prevent me from ever going to this place again for a party or any other reason. If these are not enough for you to not go, PLEASE keep in mind if you have younger ones like me, (7-8 yr old) take them early. As it gets later the kids coming in get older and twice, two older girls tried to steal my sons game reward tickets from him. We finally got so disgusted, we just left without even cashing the tickets in. more

DISGUSTING!!!!! NEVER GO BACK!!!!! 8/3/2010

My husband and 2 kids have been to Odyssey many times in the past and it was just ok. This time it was so disgusting I had to leave. I can deal with a little bit of dirt, but this was over the top. In the food area, everywhere I walked my shoes were sticking to the floor. The jungle gym/ball pit, I don't even have words to describe. Even my kids were disgusted by it. We spoke with a manager, who could care less. The manager actually stated that it was a health hazard for us wearing shoes in the jungle gym, so we had to buy socks. I'm all for wearing socks and not shoes where kids are running around, but the whole place is a health hazard. What a joke!!! If they think that taking off shoes is going to keep that place clean they are crazy. By the way, I threw all of our socks in the garbage. They were so gross, I wouldn't even let the kids touch them. It was not crowded at all, which now I know why. This place is extremely expensive, which we don't care spending our money, but make sure more

HORRIBLE...DONT BOTHER GOING HERE! 7/20/2010

This place is disgusting. I dont' know where to start. First of all it's costly...and I only had a two year old. You pay for every section separately or get a band deal. The bands don't include the rides. I choose outdoor only, jumpy floats. These were FILTY. I could only imagine the germs that were crawling in them. When I complained to the attendent he acted like he didn't understand English. UGH! The washrooms were dirty too! the washroom by the outdoor area didn't have tissue paper and smelled horrible. We decided to make the most of it and play games. Almost every game we put tokens in didn't work. I had to keep asking the attendent for assistant. Thank goodness we didn't pay to get into the indoor maze, hamster crawly looking thing. I highly doubt it if they ever sanitize the place. The food wasn't up to par either. I could get better from an outdoor vendor. You need to be specific about the hot dog you want. Ridiculous! I guess what bothered me the most were the employees that didn't give a care. Yes they are mostly all teenagers getting the minimum pay but they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR JOBS...none of them. from the outdoor attendent, to the person who takes the tickets for the prizes. The man who seemed to be some kind of manager behind the food counter was spacey and I observed him degrading his employees. This place is horrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. I gave my daughter a anti-bactirial gel bath in the parking lot. I was so grossed out. Pros: Easy to get to Cons: Expensive, NOT CLEAN, food wasn't great either more

An Adventure Waiting To Be Had 1/3/2010

it was an excellent experience! there was so much to do! from the moment we walked in, i almost lost the kids! I came in with a younger child not expecting much for her to do but was pleasantly surprised. everyone was very kind and helpful. they did not mind answering my may questions. i was very pleased with the food and the fact that i could purchase a pizza and a pitch of pop for such a low price really helped my budget. I've been to chuck e cheese before and this place was so much more grand! i will never return. I've been told they were pricey before and i did not see that. for the amount of activities they offer and fun that is waiting to be had it was truly worth every penny! i will surly come back again and again. i fully recommend it to everyone! more

this place was horrible 4/5/2009

the service, the food and allot of the equipment was inoperable. It was a horrible expensive experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I've gone there before about 5 years ago, but not the clientele has changed and it's like being in the a wasteland. It was a terrible experience. more

So many great things to do in one place! 2/14/2009

I recently brought my children to Odyssey Fun World and was really impressed. I haven't been there in a couple of years but I was glad I decided to go there again. There are different types of games so not only could my kids play but I could also. I purchased the combo wristband which allowed them to play unlimited in the climbing area and enjoy the rides for a reasonable price. If there were any problems with the games, the staff was helpful and friendly. I also liked the new line area they made for the redemption counter. It makes getting the kids prizes much easier. I would definitely come back and I cannot wait until my children get older so we can play the laser tag as a family! more

I've been there 3times the first two times were fun and OK. I just went there yesterday and i was very disgusted. The ball pit is dirty and i went in the tunnels w/the kids and there was nasty brown stuff in allot of places. So I'm thinking that's never cleaned by any employee, so i do not want my children crawling in there. When i wanted to leave me and my daughter already had our shoes on and i wanted my son out of those tunnels an employee had an attitude about me going in there just to get him w/my shoes on. It really made me mad considering other people had their things w/them in there and the place is dirty anyway. So i really see why it would matter and i think the employee just wanted to be snotty. The food is ridiculously pricey considering on how it taste. Also allot of the games didn't work but u don't find that out until it eats all Ur tokens. more

LOVE IT !!!! Great Times! Cant wait to go back! 2/8/2009

Despite other reviews I ventured out to Odyssey Fun World last week and to my surprise the place was amazing. From the minute I walked in there myself and the children I brought where in heaven.... There is so much for these kids to do there from Laser Tag to Rides Games even bumper cars and so on.... Even the food was decent..Staff was Great kind and Courteous What can I say but I cant wait for summer to come around because my kids are bothering me to try the go karts on 1 of their 2 tracks. This place I see myself being dragged there by my kids a lot more now. more
