After looking for her owner for two weeks, we decided to adopt a lost dog that we found wandering in traffic. After reading all the wonderful reviews of this clinic, we decided to...

I bought 3 Comfortis pills on March 5th and gave them to my dogs that same day. Today is the 28th, 23 days later and my dogs have been itching fleas for at least 5 days. My aunt...

Great Vet 6/24/2009

I took my pug in for a rash. The staff was sweet to my doggie and I had a sense that they all really like dogs. They skillfully drew her tests and I was in and out in under an hour. This is my new vet in Houston. Pros: friendly staff, short wait, low prices Cons: tight parking more

Could not get past the parking lot... 6/15/2009

After hearing how cheap this vet clinic was, I decided to go check it out. My mom had my child and I had the dog (small terrier) on a leash. We had to fight for a parking spot in the parking lot and the We began to get out of the car and suddenly a guy who appeared to be in a gang's dog that was on a CHAIN. The dog began trying to jump out of the window at my dog. Next, a man who had his German shepherd mix OFF the leash also started coming at us. I believe that more security or monitoring should be done regarding the dogs and their owners. Others dogs could be hurt or worse, because of the people who don't keep their dogs on leashes. This has nothing to do with the clinic. I am sure that they are good, kind people there. I never made it inside because I had to protect my dog and family and we were too scared to go any further because of the two unruly dogs. Pros: Maybe Price? Cons: - more

Lower Cost but Horrible Area 3/24/2009

The area this clinic is located in is not the safest area of Houston, so do not leave anything in your vehicle. The staff are nice, efficient and polite but I felt out of place being the only non-dark skinned person there. Most of the clientele spoke Spanish as their first language and there were some guys that I could only assume were g*ng members who brought in a dog that was obviously just in a dog fight. People stared at me as if I didn't belong there because I don't live in the hood. I have a dog that is always having problems and going to the vet can be expensive - even this past visit at the low cost clinic I spent nearly $70. An exam is $15, shots are reasonable, but the medication isn't cheap. If your dog needs a shot then this is a good place to go to, but there is no privacy - there are no actual rooms since everything is open. The wait was only minimal as well so I was pleased with that as compared to the Wellness Clinic on Durham. There are a lot of "street" dogs so if you have a Shi-Tzu or poodle, you might feel out of place. No appointments necessary. First come, first served but they have a lot of staff so you won't wait too long. Pros: Exam is only $15 Cons: The area is dodgy more

They let my dog die 11/21/2008

Yeah the prices are great, but they don't really care about your animal. they just focus on getting so many people in and out as fast as possible that they do not take the time to give their full attention to an animal that needs it. I brought my dog in cause she was limping and her leg was cold and she was acting funny. i told them a day before she had eaten some chocolate. they said they'd have to do an xray and to come in friday for it. they "recommended" a heartworm test because she was breathing hard, i asked if she would be fine untill friday, over and over, they said yes, she would be fine, they gave me some pain meds for her, i woke up the next day, and she was dead. then when i called the vet to say my dog was dead, she yelled at me for blaming her, when she didn't even pay close enough attention to my dog. yeah, the price is right, but if you really care about your animals, take them to a real vet, please, don't end up like me. Pros: cheap prices Cons: too busy to give full attention to your animal more

Great place for your pets! 10/10/2008

I acquired my first dog (ever!) early this year. This clinic has made it so easy on my family and I in taking care of our dog and making sure he has his updated shots and vet care. Prices are great and service is wonderful. I drive about 20-25 miles just to bring my dog here. Not a great looking clinic or location, but definitely great prices! With this clinic, there is absolutely no reason to not care properly for your cute little friend. Would recommend to anyone! Not much of a wait if you are there when they open, but as the day progresses, the wait is lesser. Pros: Great affordable prices Cons: Very limited parking space more

Low Cost compared to others.....Must Read 7/31/2008

I have been going to low cost for years. Im 25yrs old and have been going for years. The service is fair and Dr. Revere as well as the lady are both excellent in thier field. I was concerned about declawing my cat for he was a lot older and i was advised by friends that he may be to old for the surgery. I had no choice for i was living with a lady who recently remodeled her home. the cat was given to me by my adopted grandma and i promised to never get rid of the cat. The cat is over 10yrs old and the surgery couldnt of been better. i thought the cat would be traumatic due to its age but he did just fine. Dr. Revere has even worked on my Yorkies. Sometimes you pay for your surroundings and if you like nice new surroundings maybe you should look elsewhere but if you are like me and so many others you sometimes cant afford surgery on a cat or dog even though u love them. not to mention shots. low cost makes it affordable and without them i would have had to postpone or forget the care of my animals. These folks are great with all kinds of pets. large and small. due to thier geographical location i have noticed a lot of pit bulls and boxers. I lived in pasadena for 22 years and would drive to lowcost pet clinic. I like the staff and will always go there regardless of my income. good luck to all and it never hurts to give them a call. Pros: having access to quality care for loved ones Cons: sometimes you have to arrive early and waiting is not uncommon unless u have an emergency more

You are gonna love this clinic!!!! 6/29/2008

We have a sweet mild mannered cat that becomes psycho cat at the vet. They treat him so well. The only negative thing I could think of about this clinic is that it has not expanded. I drive 25 miles to bring my animals here and will continue to do so as long as they are here. Kind, quick and sincere treatment. Pros: Friendly, informative, understanding, professional Cons: no parking space more

low cost vet clinic with excellent service 4/1/2008

I have been spending a fortune on my chi's since they were pups. I just wish I had known about this place sooner. Not only is it cheaper but is quicker and more personal! In the past I paid 120 and up for shots and vet exam for one pup each time I went in. So in the beginning that ads up!And they made me wait for over an hour . Here they saw I had pups from my chi parents and they got me in immediately they were checked for worms and given shots in 20 minutes flat!3 chi pups for first set of shots and worm check for 99 dollars. Now I am going back for a flight certificate and my adult dogs rabies and boosters!check them out! I give them an A++ Pros: cheap quick Cons: everyone will want to go there when the word gets out! more

GREAT CARE FOR A LOW PRICE! This is one satisfied customer!!!!!!! 2/4/2008

I took my 8 week old miniature schnauzer for his first check up. I read the reviews before I went so I wasn't expecting a nice facility. It's a little shappy but clean. There's no impressive seating, paintings, or lobby-but everyone there was really nice. We saw the vet in about 15-20 minutes. She was very sincere and sweet. Answered all of our questions. Then it was over. We purchased my dog's flea medicine and completed his puppy exam for only $25. He didn't need shots at the time since he had them from the kennel. It was great! Especially considering I called around to other vets in the area and they wanted $60-$100 just for the initial exam. That didn't include flea medicine, shots, or anything else that may pop up. I am truly happy with this clinic and plan to go back! Pros: Great, fast service and friendly staff. Best of all LOW PRICES! Cons: Building is a little shabby and parking is rough. more
