I have been a happy client of Gretchen's at Norris of Houston for so long I can't remember exactly (10-15 years). I drive in from Friendswood so she is that good! I have my hair colored and cut and styled by her. I'm not very talented with hair so over the years Gretchen has taught me so much about taking good care of my hair and styling it correctly. I always get so many compliments on my style and color and the color looks so natural. Gretchen is also organized with her appointments and is punctual. I don't think I have ever had to wait past my appointment time. Once I was involved in a minor wreck on the way to an appointment and she worked me in very accommodatingly! I recommend Gretchen most highly as a professional and talented stylist! more

First of all, my stylist Arlette is the ""Superwoman of Hair"". What I love most about this salon is that my appointment time is my appointment time and its always on time. Recently I had the opportunity to try the GK smoothing treatment. This treatment is awesome for any woman who wants to go natural, but still have the ""relaxed"" look without the harsh chemicals. The treatment leaves your hair feeling extremely soft and the best part, for those of us that like to work out, hair stays manageable and still looks great. One of the most frightening things for my hair was the humidity. If this is your problem, then you need to call the salon and make an appointment today with Arlette. The GK smoothing treatment is the one treatment that you need to try. more

Gretchen Shoup has been doing my hair for over 15 years. She does awesome highlights and color and gives a terrific cut. She is a stickler about running on time, which is something I think all of her clients appreciate. Barry(hairstylist) is amazing at giving you the exact look you want. He is friendly and sweet and we talked about what I wanted for a cut .Barry did an awesome job and I was so happy with it. I got home and my boyfriend was all hot and bothered with the new look. Sexayyy!! Constantly got compliments on it from everyone i know.I'll definitely be going back to Barry again for a cut and highlights Everyone who works here is very friendly and chatty. I felt totally welcomed from the second I walked in. more

Houston best masseuse 4/24/2012

I have been going to Norris of Houston for the past 6 years, and mainly because of Melva. She is the best masseuse in town. I have had massages all over the world and noone compares to Melva. She customizes your massage experience based on your needs and requirements. She is gentle, yet her touch is always effective and healing. more

So if you want to have the BEST Massage you have ever had, go see Melva. Her touch is Heavenly. Melva has many years of experience- she can fix a long time problem in a session or two. If you want to relax, there is no one better. Her personality is so pleasant- what a sunny disposition. I will always go to Melva, her room is quiet and cozy- the bed is comfy- and she gives the absolute best Massage. I should know- I'm a Therapist myself. Love me some Melva! more

If you are fed up with people who do not listen to you when you ask to have your hair cut a certain way, GIna is the Godsend you have been looking for. She is so talented, and such a precision cutter, you won't ever be disappointed. I have been her client for 3 years and I can honestly say I have never seen anyone better than Gina. Gretchen is the best hairdresser! 2/14/2012

Gretchen did a wonderful job of transitioning me from hair color to natural gray. She colored my hair for many years and when I decided to go natural she worked with me to make this drastic change a pleasant one. Not only did she help me with the color, but she gave me a fantastic new style that made the new color and cut quite dramatic. Love it! And thanks to Gretchen for a wonderful job. Gretchen is also very considerate of all her clients. SHE IS NEVER LATE!! She is respectful of your time and your needs. I would highly recommend her. I have seen her work on children, men and women of all ages and she is exceptional. Her color work is also lovely, it never looks ""fake"". more

Vilma & Glow are the BEST! 2/19/2011

I have never had a facial, and Vilma was fabulous..she is so eloquent in her profession...I recommend her for everyone!! Then, I got a full body massage from Glow Root, and her tenderness to detail within my key spots was right one. I have breast cancer, and both of these ladies helped my stress go away...for one day...i was able to relax and feel okay. thanks ladies! more
