When I went first went in the owner was very nice and we had a nice conversation. I was distracted enough that I forgot to ask how much the alteration would cost (to shorten the hem on a maxi dress that cost me $20). When I went back 5 days later she said it cost $25 ($27 with tax). I thought she was out of her mind! In Canada where I am from, where EVERYTHING is more expensive, this would have cost $15 MAX. Original hemming on jeans costs less than $25 in Canada. I will never go back here again and I would not recommend anyone use her services. She will rip you off!!! My fault for not checking the price first but shame on her for taking advantage of someone new to the city.
