Best

We love the pizza because the mozzarella is very good and the mushrooms are fresh. The pizza is a lot like what you get in Toronto, where I grew up. Handmade crust, really sweet...

Worst

We went on a Sunday night. After an hour of waiting for a plate of pasta we left unserved. The server was not friendly when we asked about the long length of time it was taking ...

Great salads, except for the olives! 11/28/2007

They always use fresh ingredients, though I wish they had romaine lettuce instead of iceberg. You can find a lot of variety in their salad offerings. Steak tip, taco salad, ham and cheese, buffalo chicken salad, you name it. However, the olives are always brown, old and gross tasting. I don't know why they can't use black olives or fresh ones. I love olives and keep nibbling them hoping they'll have finally bought some fresh ones, but nope. Not after 2 years of going there have I tasted a fresh olive in my salad. They need a new distributor. However, overall the people are very friendly and the food is well priced for the amount you get. One of my favorite spots in downtown Maynard. Pros: Good food, lots of variety, great prices Cons: Occasionally less than fresh ingredients, long wait to be served during rush hour more

best pizza in Maynard...really good crust 11/2/2007

We love the pizza because the mozzarella is very good and the mushrooms are fresh. The pizza is a lot like what you get in Toronto, where I grew up. Handmade crust, really sweet sauce, and cooked to perfection.\r The prices are reasonable, so go check it out... Pros: parking is on the street in downtown Maynard Cons: slow, cashier isn't on the ball more

Super slow service 9/30/2007

SUPER slow service!!!! Waited over an hour for a couple of plates of pasta on a slow Sunday night. \r \r Pros: east to get to Cons: slow service- not friendly staff more

False Advertising 6/2/2006

The term ""brick oven pizza"" traditionally refers to a masonry oven made of brick fired with wood. Neighborhood Brick Oven Pizza is nothing more than a gas oven with a cute brick overlay. The pizza was way below average and all I can compare it to is the individual pizza's served in public schools. If your looking for a real ""brick oven pizza"" I would suggest looking elsewhere. Nothing more than your run of the mill pizza joint. I would suggest going next door to grab the $2.99 lunch special. Neighborhood Brick Oven Pizza does not offer slices and the small pie is overpriced at $7.00. The service was good, the place was clean, I just feel as if they are false advertising. Not\r Recommended. Pros: clean, friendly, fast Cons: not real brick oven, sub-par pizza, expensive more
