I've eaten at Neecha a number of times and think their food is pretty good. The problem is that they don't stand behind their product or service. Recently they spilled food all over me and then the staff and manager refused to provide any assistance or credit despite a $20 dry cleaning bill to fix the stains. Buyer beware... more

Fast service & good menu. Food is disappointing 9/25/2006

Food is disappointing - the noodle dishes are overly greasy and without much flavor. The papaya salad, however, is excellent - great spicy dressing and fresh flavors. Fast service, but nothing to get too excited about. more

Terrific Thai - Outstanding Neighborhood Value 12/16/2005

The attentive hostess at Neecha - "Benny" - smiles as you enter this warm little neighborhood gem and is most helpful in guiding you through their menu. I've returned many times over the past few years and the food never fails. It is close enough to the Kabuki Movie Theaters to be a great pre or post flick stop - but this also makes it sometimes hard to find a place to park the car. Beautiful original artwork provides a warm jazzy feel to the small dining room. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere Cons: Parking more

I Miss Neecha! 10/14/2005

I am in Denver now & miss my monthly drive up from Santa Cruz to eat at Neecha! It's the best Thai food experience I have had--informal, authentic, delicious and reasonable. The artwork was always great to look at, too. I can't wait to go back! Pros: intimate setting, close to Japan town, close to Fillmore Cons: parking more

This had to be the greasiest thai food in SF. Also not much flavor. Cons: Greasy more

Neighborhood Thai with Bonus Artwork 6/22/2005

Great neighborhood restaurant to get a very good reasonably priced Thai meal (my current favorite - special eggplant). The owner's nephew Veerakeat Tongpaiboon is a well-known artist whose work brightens up the brick walls. The corner across the street sees expensive restaurants come and go (currently Winterland) while Neecha remains a favorite. Pros: reasonable prices, smiling Thai service, delicious food Cons: can be tough to park more
