Perpetually modest and unpretentious but supremely convenient and pleasant, the "Navi" is situated directly across from the Maine State Ferry terminal in downtown Rockland. Steps from the many restaurants and bars comprising downtown Rockland's main drag the rooms run from clean to slightly dated but for the dollar, a great deal. All the rooms face the sea and have a/c, balconies, mini refrigerators and cable tv. Soda, ice and snack machines on alternating levels. Elevator service. Complimentary continental breakfast. The whole place recently received a face lift and all the rooms and bathrooms were graced with badly needed upgrades. more

comfortable, clean and updated 7/15/2011

We live on an island and have to stay over night for doctor appointments, shopping trips etc. The Navigator is comfortable, clean and updated and has always given us an inexpensive place to stay away from home. The Navigator is across from a state ferry service, is in walking distance of downtown Rockland, has a very simple continental breakfast and is inexpensive compared to other options in the area. Remember this is not the Hilton, but for the price and location is a great deal. more

I would definitely stay there again without a doubt 6/2/2011

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this inn and it was perfect. The price was right. The view was nice. And the staff was helpful. Even stayed on the phone with me to give me turn by turn directions while i was lost and trying to get to the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. I would definitely stay there again without a doubt. more

The room was real roomy and the staff was really great and friendly. The company I worked for booked the room (suite) for me for 25 years of service. We really enjoyed the 3 night stay. When we mentioned a small complaint the management took care of it promptly. On the whole I would stay here again . I would recomend this place to any of my friends or family. The general manager was very friendly, courteous and helpful and made our stay more pleasant. --Shirley & Larry more

Just right, can't be beat 4/15/2011

just right. I love the navigator, I have been staying there for years and find the service fine, and the location can't be beat. It is perfectly located at the beach, shopping areas and resteraunts--all in a short walking distance! I will continue to return to the navigator for the price and location-it can't be beat. The options of regular room, mini suite, or full view and balcony always seem fit my need if I am alone, bringing the kids, or traveling with a group. Very conveinient! more

Very good place for the money 4/12/2011

good place to stay. Very good place to stay for the money. We have stayed at the Navigator several times (5 to 10) and have only been dissappointed once due to the noisey people leaving the lounge, and the elephants walking on the floors above us. It is a great place to stay and explore downtown Rockland, you can walk anywhere from here. Also easy access to the ferry and bus terminal just across the street. We will be back again !!!! more

Location is very central to everything. I was treated very well when a loud group occupied the next room. I was given a different room for the night and I greatly appreciated that service. Overlooking the water, seeing the sunrise. more
