Worst

Namaskar is nice and clean but the food is average. Not better or worse then most other restaurants around cambridge and somerville.

OK, so I might not be biased because I'm not a fan of Indian food, but this is a good place if you do like it. We came to do the buffet on the weekend - it was only $8 for each person, and the buffet had the staples. They have a full range of Salads which is a exclusive thing in Indian Restaurants. Around 7 entrees, around 3-4 of each veg and non veg. Pros: Nice Ambience, Nice wait staff, Excellent food, Good quantity ( more compared to others) Cons: Location, you may not notice easily more

Another Indian buffet for me this week. I liked this place; I thought the selection was really good (they have a full salad bar in addition to the Indian standards) and the staff was very nice. They offered about eight different entrees and a couple kinds of rice to choose from. The waitress promptly brought over Naan and drinks. I would definitely go back for dinner some night. This is the best Indian restaurant in the city! The food is amazing and the little subtleties like a warm cloth before dining and a small drink before ordering are wonderful. The staff is the most attentive I've encountered and you never feel rushed. Try the chana dhal, mango lassi, and namaskar coffee you'll thank me. Pros: great food, wonderful staff, good location more

Tasty! 3/4/2004

I've been to Namaskar several times, and each time I've been utterly pleased with the quality of the food. Delicious curries, breads, and tandoor items. Service is efficient but not overly friendly. The decor is quite nice; I especially like the lights over the booths. Unfortunately, they do not yet have a liquor license. All in all, though, a MUCH better choice than Davis Square's other Indian offering. Pros: excellent food, good decor, good service more
