Believing I couldn't go wrong choosing this salon due to its location in the SF and its popularity, I made an appointment specifically requesting a regular pedicure. When I arrived, I gave my name and appointment time to the person at the front desk, who didn't verify the information, and quickly directed me to a pedicurist who was ready for me at a chair up in the front. During the pedicure, I was offered every service available from special creams for my feet to waxing and even after declining, the pedicurist proceeded to offer, suggesting I really needed them. (I go elsewhere for these services, thank you very much.) She then quickly treated my cuticles (not really taking time for each nail), and in her hurry, cut the skin above one of my toes causing me to bleed! I asked for a wet cotton ball three times before she provided it and after I stopped the bleeding, she tried to help by pressing so hard, she was actually hurting me. She then applied a liquid to stop the bleeding and proceeded to polish my nails. By this point, I was truly apprehensive of her touching me at all, so I watched her very carefully. When she was done, I was charged for a spa pedicure (Spa pedicure? That quick job was supposed to be a spa pedicure?!). I quickly pointed out that I had specifically made an appointment for a regular pedicure. I was told that regular pedicures are performed at the chairs in the center of the salon, not the front. I hadn't chosen the seat I was offered and pointed out that I was a new customer, so I did not know. The price adjustment was made and I was then directed to a chair in the back to dry my nails. At that point, the manager walked over to speak with employees seated at the back near me and one after another would turn and look at me while she spoke in an apparently upset tone. I was not impressed and extremely uncomfortable. I walked out of there upset and insulted. Happy Nails? Not mine!
