Say NO to Naco pools 3/4/2010

I urge everyone to stay away from this company. They will take your money and leave the pool unfinished. There quality is subpar, they do not return phone calls. Cons: They are swindlers more

NEVER USE NACO POOLS 12/17/2009

Our pool started March of 2009, by June they would not answer our phone calls or come back to finish the pool. We have since hired an attorney and are awaiting a court date. The workmanship of the pool is unexceptable, it also had a leak, the electrical work was not installed properly, and the plaster on the pool is rough, and uneven. I have posted this on many different sites, to try and get the word out to as many people as I can so that someone else will not be taken advantage of. I would give them less than one star if that were possible! Pros: Not one Cons: They are an unethical business more

Do Not Use This Company 11/22/2009

Naco Pools left many aspects of our pool unfinished and demanded their final payment through our mortgage company. Although the president of the company signed an agreement promising to return to finish the job, they literally took the money and ran. We reported them to the BBB but they are not members so nothing was done. We are currently considering filing suit. Since they left (with property such as lights that we had already paid them for), we have had to make several repairs to their work, including two new filter systems and numerous new lights. Some of the work has been covered by their parts suppliers (who we have informed of the situation) and some have been out of pocket. Please take my advice and avoid this company. Pros: Good design Cons: Left our pool unfinished, poor workmanship more

Always a problem 4/10/2009

Naco started installing our pool almost a year ago. The pool was "completed" weeks late. Waterfalls had to be redone already. Our patios are cracking and raising. We have a leak and are loosing water still. And all we continue to get from this company and Peter is lick service. We get promise after promise which never comes through. The only time the were ever on time for anything was to collect checks which Pete is worse than a hound about. Once they had a check we wouldn't hear from them for a few days until we called to see when anything else would be done. Now that they have all their money from us. It looks like we will have to take them to court to get our pool and patios fixed and finished. Oh if you expect them to clean up anything good luck. Expect lie after lie and you won't be disappointed! more

Good Work; Could be Better 8/27/2008

We contracted with NACO Pools to refurbish our 30 year old, 100,000 gallon, neighborhood swimming pool. In our contract, we included phrases such as "must be done in a workmanlike manner" which is general, but actually means something. They completely tore out all of the old pool deck, replaced all of the piping and replaced a couple of the skimmers. They installed all new lights, replaced all of the coping, and so forth. Most of the work turned out very good. However, they used a lousy concrete contractor who really screwed things up. They ran over water lines, ran over our septic tank, poured the concrete incorrectly, had loads of iron filings throughout the concrete that later rusted, didn't put in expansion joints where needed and created a very difficult surface to walk on. And then the No Diving "tiles" and depth markers were applied to the coping, twice, but never have stuck. Everything else about the pool building experience was pretty good. So, after a couple of months, we called NACO back in for a meeting and told them, both Adrian and Pedro (the matriarch) came out and met with 3 of the people on the Homeowners Association Board. The immediately admitted that the concrete was a problem, as well caulking between the pool and the deck, and the color of the plaster in the baby pool. They offered to fix it all at no charge, including putting down Kook Deck on top of our concrete all over, and include depth markers in the new Kook Deck. I think this is what one would expect of a reputable company: to stand behind their work. They ran into a bit of trouble with their concrete subcontractor, and they are making good for it. So, I give them 4 stars. When installing a pool, be sure to adjust the payment schedule to leave at least 20% at the end that you will not pay until you are completely satisfied. That 20% is a big chunk of their profit. Pros: They Stand Behind Their Work - They know what they are doing. Cons: Same problem all contractors have; thinking about the next job. more

NACO Pools should be AVOIDED 6/5/2008

I signed a contact in December 2007 and my pool is still not finished. Only about 2 days of work is needed to complete, but NACO will not come out to finish. The quality of the work has been mediocre, and without me staying on top of them along the way, it would be horrible. Every single step has been delayed by NACO, and not by weather. They delay orders, then order the wrong parts, make excuses and then stop returning calls. I have a long list of issues with them which I will not outline here, but after going throuhg this process, I would suggest you choose a differnet contractor.\r \r I researched lot's of pool builders, and narrowed down to NACO and Crites. Against my gut feeling, I stretched and went with NACO, even though Crites was clearly the more professional company regarding phone calls, bidding, design and reviews. HUGE mistake on my part. I'm paying the price but I hope you don't have to. AVOID NACO POOLS. Pros: Lowest price among all bids Cons: Poor construction quality, missed deadlines, incompetence more

Made building a pool enjoyable. 4/19/2008

I first used NACO Pools to construct a motel property I own. After seeing how they worked with my General Contractor I immediately called them for my personal home pool. They worked just as professional and detailed on it. Very instructive on the the process again. It took about a month longer than they had first stated but I had made some changes so that was understandable. The finish product was fantastic. Erin Sloane more

Money hungry scoundrels 7/7/2007

Beware of this family. All their looking for is a paycheck. When it's payday their calling at 7:00am and promising you the world. But after they get the check, it's like they've never heard of you! They are so full of shi$$rt. When choosing a pool company, when you think of Naco Pools, think Not Yoe Pools, or Naco Pulls as in pulls your money out of your pocket. The salesman Adrian is going to promise you a six weeks pool that's maintenance free, but it's just the opposite. Beware Beware Beware. These losers are just looking for a paycheck. Pros: The worst company in Texas Cons: Cons???? They are CONS for sure!!!!!!!!! more

Made it so easy, and great workmanship. 11/24/2006

I just wanted to write a little on how amazingly happy we are with NACO Pools. We moved here from Chicago and were almost blown away at the summer. When shopping for a pool builder it was so confusing. We were so happy to find NACO Pools when interviewing companies. They made us feel so easy during the process from beginning to end. When they finished our pool in 4 weeks everyone was amazed that we could actually use it the most of the summer. Its been the best experience we have had with any contractor in NYC or Texas. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to any family or friends. Pros: Honest, Reliable and Professional. more

Naco Pools Austin TX 11/15/2006

Naco Pools started my pool 12 weeks ago and it is still not finished. They started on August 25, 2006. They have plaster left to do and the pool refinery is not here. They have one days work left and they have totally disappeared the pool is still empty. It has sat for the past 3 weeks with NO activity. It also sat for 3 weeks after the gunite. The work is excellent thus far, it just takes forever for them to finish. After they get that last big check they disappear for weeks at a time. They make big promises on deadlines. (They say they will finish by the weekend or next week or next week) I'm hoping for a completion by Christmas now, it may take till next summer! They say next week but I don't believe them. They will not return telephone calls or emails. When I do talk to someone they keep telling me that the equipment is not in yet (3 months, right !!) and that they are waiting on the plaster man to return their calls (3 weeks waiting on that call from the plaster man, RIGHT !!!). They will also call and say they are coming and they do not show up. Do not pay for that last big check before they plaster and the refinery equipment is in place or you will be waiting forever for them to come back again. Very, very, very, frustrated and upset with this company. If you don't care about them putting you off go ahead and use this company. BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE - Use at you own risk !!! Pros: Nice Work Cons: Over 12 weeks and pool still not finished. more
