I usually see the same person for massages and have been happy, but when I wanted to squeeze in a massage and had to book with another massage therapist, my experience was not as ...

Massage really makes you feel better!!! 1/22/2007

I had the opportunity to get a massage from Catherine. I'm not big into massage, or get them regularly, but her massages really make you feel better. I have this chronic nerve shenanigans with my arms and wrists, and she managed to find out that it all relates to something in my back. After getting a back massage, my arms felt way better than they ever have. Most doctors I have gone to for this said the problem stemmed from my elbow area, and I have never had the tingling affected by anything near my elbows. I highly recommend Myo Massage to anyone with sore backs, or necks, and possible tingling in their arms (though your issues might differ from mine). Great service, and wonderful people! Pros: Great service for the price. Cons: None really....other than I live in north Austin, and the service is south. more

Gifted, Caring, Experienced & Educated Healers 1/22/2007

Catherine has studied the healing traditions of numerous cultures, as well as having studied western medicine so she is well educated. She never stops learning & training & improving & brings all of her vast skill & knowledge to the table, so to speak. I have chronic back problems & so have been to many massage therapists & before Catherine, was never terribly impressed with massage. I thought it was a nice thing to do when you could afford it. After my first visit to Catherine I realized that massage can actually heal, can really improve your health & quality of life. I have now been using Catherine's extraordinary services for years & recommend her to everyone I know. I also know that anyone she & Levi hire to work at Myo will be extremely talented so you can trust anyone there to provide you with a wonderful experience, whether you just want to relax or whether you need targeted care for a specific problem. Go see them! Pros: everything! Cons: nada more

Best, Most Relaxing Experience in Town 1/22/2007

This is a fantastic place. The location is perfect (just a few blocks from downtown), reception and patient rooms are both calming and tasteful and the staff is knowledgable and incredibly skilled. I recently went in after a long, stressful week; my neck, back and head were knotted and miserable. Catherine was able to get me in at the last minute when she heard how much pain I was in, fortunately, and proceeded to give me one of the best deep tissue treatments I've ever experienced. I practically had to be scooped up and rolled out of there, I was so relaxed. The care I received and the genuine concern for my happiness and comfort are only two of the reasons I'll be returning as often as possible. If you're in any discomfort, go to Myo. If you're stopping over in town and want a wonderful experience, go to Myo. If you'd like to set up a regular weekly/monthly/whenever massage, I highly recommend Myo. Pros: Great location, highly skilled staff Cons: I only have one back for them to work on! more

Amazing, awesome Austin resource 1/12/2007

As someone with chronic back problems, I've been using massage consistently for over 5 years. I've met some great, caring people, and have learned that every therapist worthy of the name is also uniquely gifted...there are very few bad massages given. However, some therapists stand head and shoulders above the rest, and Levi's one of those guys (I think he stands head and shoulders above me, but that's another story). Levi is thoughtful, skillful, considerate and thorough. He is a gentle man and a gentleman, but as a therapist, he can be relentless. When you want a massage where your body can really tell the difference, where you leave standing taller and more energetic, really feeling better and on top of your game, give Myo Massage a call. It's a really nice facility, very convenient to downtown. Pros: close to downtown, nice new space more

Relaxing atmosphere, Treated like a queen, Felt good all over 1/11/2007

My experience with massage is getting better and better. The more I go, the better it makes me feel. All I ask for is the AH ! one. This is the massage that Levi gives me when I go see him because it makes my whole body go AH !. Now after a stressful day at the office, it's a wonderful feeling to know that Myo is just a step away and Levi is ready to give me the AH ! treatment. more

Catherine's STRONG hands, one of the best ever MTs 1/2/2007

As a client of Catherine's solo practice, it is great to see an expansion of the types of bodywork services available through her new storefront. Strong hands and a great healing ability are rare these days with so many getting into the biz. Catherine is 10/10 in my book. One of the two best massage therapists I have had in 20+ years here in Austin. She is able to adapt lots of different body work techniques in a single session appropriate to the specific area that needs work. The cumulative result over time is exactly what one should expect from someone that is very talented. Highly recommended. Pros: Strength, knowledge of techniques, location more

intelligent massage 1/1/2007

The two massage therapists at Myo, Levi and Catherine, are committed to their work and take massage very seriously. I have received great benefit from getting massages from Catherine and am impressed with her strength and continued learning in multiple forms of massage. Not only is she intelligent, she has a wonderful touch which lends itself to the perfect combination for an excellent massage. I have received massages from many people and places, and Myo ranks up there in my opinion. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed. Pros: easy parking, relaxing environment more
