I read through the poignant saga of the low reviews, and apparently 15 of these animals went from Muddy Pig to Chang's to Sweeny's and were either refused entrance or thrown out of all of them, all in one evening. Costello's, Groveland Tap, Tavern on Grand, and McGovern's are the most comfortable bars. Saint Paul Grill, Frost, and Vine Park are the most elegant. Muddy Pig seems to have the best of both. It is woodsy, the food is distinctive (and maybe a little pricey) and they have a lovely selection of bottled Belgian beer. The owner/bartender, a really sweet guy, promised he will be getting at least one Belgian on tap. One small criticism is that the TV's were small and old (if you like watching TV while you drink, which I do). We spent a little over 20 dollars each for three beers, an appetizer and a sandwich.
Pros: food, Belgian beers, atmosphere
Cons: pricey
