WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY BUSINESS. EVER. 4/30/2014

Joe was EXTREMELY RUDE due to the fact that the USPS takes more than 1 business day to deliver mail. Not my fault, but he still accused me of taking too long to send the deposit (it arrived 4 days after booking the gig). After receiving my deposit he decided he didn't want to do the event after all and CANCELED on us 3 days before the event, but REFUSES to give back our deposit. He was the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS OWNER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. BEWARE. I now have to get involved in legal proceedings. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you already sent in your payment, CANCEL IT. more

Very Poor Customer Service 8/22/2012

I should have read the reviews....If you are planning to have a PONY at your party ?? DON?T USE MOUNTAINSIDE STABLES. The rudeness, unprofessionalism, and lack of any customer service skills ruined for me the joy to provide a pony surprise for my event. Even after a follow up phone call to discuss the matter, the rudeness, unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service skills continued. Never, ever use MOUNTAINSIDE STABLES unless you enjoy being treated poorly. more

Don't Use This Company 10/1/2011

These guys came to a friend's house for a birthday party. The guy who showed up with the pony acted like we had wronged him in someway; awfully obnoxious and rude. Would have had sent him back if he was not holding a deposit. If you have an option don't use these guys. They also have a F rating from BBB. more

I'm going to have to disagree with the previous poster. This place is a major scam. Major. Consider yourself warned. Find any other petting zoo you can find, this guy is crazy insane. more

Mountain Side Stables 1/19/2009

This is on the old Hidden Acres site, I believe. It is not a stable per se, but is a wonderful family experience with animals, petting zoo and pony rides. Plan a gathering here for the little ones. more

  • Welcome to Mountainside Stables Mountainside Stables was established in 1990 with just one pony for Children's birthdays. Located in Lafayette, New Jersey, we quickly expanded to a stable of ten beautiful ponies of all sizes. These ponies are able to accommodate all types of functions ranging from picnics, festivals, street fairs, township celebrations and basically any event you can think of. Mountainside Stables can also provide a petting zoo filled with animals such as llamas, goats, sheep, baby calves, mini donkeys, mini horses, chicks, ducklings and rabbits. Children and adults alike love to pet and feed our animals. Keep in mind we are a traveling petting zoo and can travel to the majority of the New York/New Jersey Tri-State Area. If a hay ride is what you're looking for then check out our beautiful Belgian Draft Horse who pulls a wagon that can hold as many as 20 people. Great for Halloween, Christmas, tree lightings or any other special event.
