Go figure that a place with a ribs and steak name would offer such a wide variety of breakfast and other choices. Not just a bacon and egg breakfast, but consistently good eggs...

Charming and kitschy place 3/28/2006

Mount Vernon Stable is a great place to go for brunch, dinner, or for an after-bar snack. The Stable is an electic place that draws a diverse variety of people, and it's usually hopping. It's in a converted rowhouse, and the atmosphere is charming. The food is your standard American fare, but the brunches are the tastiest. They have good dessert too. more

Decent food, great prices 6/16/2005

This is a popular restaurant in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore. The food is decent and the portions are plentiful. Service can be spotty - sometimes not the most friendly bunch. Diner-type food on the menu, with some exceptions. They're known for their ribs, but I've never had them. Eclectic clientele. more
