Romantic courtyard 8/27/2006

So I went to Mothers with the intentions on surprising my love with romantic celebration of our anniversary. We sat in the courtyard all by ourselves and enjoyed a delicious meal. The menu's fancy, but the food is certainly good. The waiter was very patient with us and willing to help us out and explain alot of the fancy ingrediants and arrangements. I had a wonderful dinner experience here with an intimate secluded arrangement in the flourishing court yard, it reminded me of being in Italy, I loved it. Much love for Mother's 2/26/2006

I've recently moved to northern california, and deeply miss the great food buffalonians provide at their restaurants, cafe's and of course, pizzeria's. I hadn't heard of Mother's until a few years ago thru a friend, and I just wish I could be apart of their marketing team to get the word out on the streets of their fantastic meals, setting, service and ambiance. A MUST when in Buffalo! 8/1/2005

Was in town visiting, and stopped in on a Tuesday night. The staff was warm and welcoming to an out-of-towner, and that was just the beginning! Very well served cocktails by an outstanding bartender, and INCREDIBLE food! Fresh and hot, excellent selection...modern without being fussy or pretensious, great portions.DELICIOUS! Mother's is one of the best! 12/13/2002

When I come to visit my girlfriend in Buffalo, we always go to Mother's. The food is amazing!! Everything from a great array of appetizers (chinese ribs, bruschetta, shrimp fritters, etc. ) to a wonderful array of entrees (grilled ahi tuna, roasted chicken, prime rib, etc.) The service is the best around... the servers are smiling all of the time and happy to be there. The atmosphere... it is dimly lit and romantic. A wonderful place to take your partner or to take someone on a first, second or third date. Great ambience. The only problem is the parking since it is on small street in downtown Buffalo. Make reservations because this is a popular place... Pros: Amazing food, Amazing atmosphere, Amazing Service more

This Place Is A Gem!!! 9/30/2002

Happened upon this gem of a restaurant late at night when nothing else was open. It was during the week so I ordered clams at the bar. They were fresh and tasty! Went back the following week for clams and lo and behold, they had the dining room open. Talk about romantic. Real dark with candlelight. And the food was incredible!!!!!! As well as the service. We felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant. Who knew you could find a gem like this in Buffalo??? I tell all my friends about this best kept secret! A don't miss!!!!! Excellent place- the food and ambiance are essentially unmatched in Buffalo. Fantastic meals at 2am are hard to come by. Nice selection of entrees with a decent wine list. Sit at the bar if you can't get a seat right away and choose a scotch from their nice assortment. Word of caution- make sure your bottle of wine is the same year as what is listed on the wine list. I've heard this is can be a popular scam. Our waitress brought us a different year, and did not change the price after we brought it to her attention. For late-night dining, you can't find anything comparable to the great food you can find at Mother's! Where else can you get a great (real) steak at 2 AM? more
