Montessori Child Development Center

When choosing a school we loved the country and family feel of this small school. The building is always clean and tidy and grounds well kept. The staff members are friendly, welcoming and always helpful. What makes this school shine is the attention and caring of the dedicated teaching staff. They encourage communication from parents and will work diligently with you to guide and nurture your children. Our 4 yr old twins have blossomed since attending MCDC ? the individual attention given to each of them has been outstanding. Their ability to listen, concentrate, understand, explore and proactively seek learning, obey and co-operate has been greatly enhanced. We really appreciate the life lessons in manners, politeness, consideration and helpfulness that are part of their daily routine. We could not have chosen a better school. more

MCDC is an exemplary model of Montessori. I have been so impressed with each staff member by their commitment, dedication and passion to the wholesome development of each child. My daughter will be completing Kindergarten this year, and my son will start at Little Hands in the fall. I cannot say enough great things about the staff, each of them have been a blessing in our life. more

My 2 year old daughter attends Little Hands Montessori, the toddler Montessori program on the same campus. Our daughter has received nothing but exceptional care in the 6 months she has attended. The individualized attention given to each child is like no other preschool I have observed... and it took interviewing and observing many to find this gem. I would recommend Little Hands Montessori and Montessori Child Development to anyone looking for a school that believes in a child's capabilites and gives them the encouragement to thrive. more

My daughter began her Montessori experience when she was 24 months at Little Hands Montessori and has recently promoted to the primary program at MCDC. Speaking as a trained Montessorian myself, I have found the staff and directors at LHM and LHM to be very loving, supportive and extremely devoted to the excellence of their Montessori training. My daughter has fourished this year and has become more independent, especially when she takes on new projects, her enthusiasm is infectious. She has developed a great joy for learning. I have been most impressed with the fact that AMI and AMS training works perfectly together under one roof at MCDC. A defininte school to see! more

My son graduated from MCDC after 3 years and my daughter is in her second year. I have a great appreciation for the staff at this school. They take the time to get to know each child. They know every child's strengths and weaknesses and do everything they can to help each child develop into well rounded individual. In addition to the Montessori work they teach the children grace, courtesy, and manners in the classroom which is very important to our family. My son is now in 1st grade in public school and his teacher has commented to me numerous times on what a pleasure he is to have in her class. I know this a direct result from his years spent at MCDC. more

MCDC is like a family away from family for my children. I have two girls, one who spent three years at MCDC and just entered First grade and the other who is attending her third year with MCDC currently. Montessori has been a terrific experience socially and educationally for my girls, both are advanced in many skill sets as a result. I am so thankful that I chose Montessori for them and that I found MCDC. The staff are warm, caring and involved. In my experience they all go the extra mile for each child every day. We all know it is hard enough to begin those first days of preschool, for parent and child, and I always felt that my girls were truly cared for. For that gift alone I am grateful and I would highly recommend MCDC. more

Childhood is all about doing things and making happy memories. MDCD provides the stable and loving environment to do just that. The staffs are gentle and sincerely caring. Every corner of the school is loaded with lots of Montessori materials. Apart from the regular activities, there are always new projects captivating and stimulating the kids all year round. Kids had prepared salads, Thanksgiving meal, snacks and foods. They watched the growth of beans, seeds and potato.In the huge backyard, the kids get to feed goats, run around with a duck and a couple of dogs, rack leaves, grow and harvest vegetables in the kid?s garden. They could ask to pluck tangerines and figs from the trees and eat them. This is much more than another school or another daycare. more

We love this school. My daughter graduated from kindergarten and we enjoyed the whole experience so much that my son just started there even though we have other montessori schools closer to our house. They are a true montessori, love their teaching philosophy and learning materials. The teachers are so warm and loving and its like one big family. Its amazing how much the kids learn in such a short time without even realising that they are "learning". I also love it that it is a small school with a real sense of community, which is important in the early years. My daughter is doing very well in a huge school now, no problems with transitioning to public school. more

Our son was taken with the goats out back on his first visit. He has felt at home since he started! He's come a long way both socially and academically. Highly recommended!!! more
