Mom's Best Friend Nannies

Horrible company. Poor customer service. Read their contract carefully. They shouldn't be called Mom's Best Friend. They should be called Mom's friend who is ready to screw you the minute you turn around. more

Nanny's beware!!!! Nanny's, don't be fooled by the apparent professionalism. You will be given what is considered a contract, but labeled as an ""Employee Agreement Form."" This will give you the false comfort that you will in some way be advocated by the company, and that you are signing to rules that both the Nanny and the family are to abide by. Instead, I have learned the hard way, that if you have the misfortune of a family breaking a contract with you, the contract has no validity and MBF will ALWAYS choose to side with those who have paid them: i.e. the family's who hire you. Do not be fooled by the meaningless faux ""contract,"" and think twice before using this company. You will not benefit in the case that you are paired with a bad family. What's worse, MBF will not use you for re-hire if the poorly matched family lets you on a reasonable or completely unreasonable basis. more

Won't use this place again. Clearly they didn't check references very well as the nanny placed with us stole many items from our house. Wouldn't expect that from a place like this but that's what you get when unreliable people are put in charge of background checks. They also didn't want to accept any blame for anything. Really bad experience. Never again. more

I would like to refer anyone with children to Mom's Best Friend for any sitter or nanny needs they may have. Many of the nannies who work for Mom's Best Friend are students either at the University of Texas or Texas State who are in, or have graduated from the Education program, and love to take care of children. Many nannies I have encountered have also been with the company for years, and never cease to amaze my family. In regards to the background checks, I encourage any clients to visit their website to view the News clip (see Press Room-In the News), where Mom's Best Friend was interviewed by FOX & KVUE, and includes information on the very extensive and accurate background check company they use. I heard about Mom's Best Friend from the hotel where we were staying as well as a dear friend. I called them and they were quick to arrange a babysitter for our 8 month old baby. We don't live in Austin, so our attempts to arrange a sitter through a friend, were unsuccessful. Mom's Best Friend sent a reliable nanny who we were able to learn about prior to having her come to the hotel room. We were able to verify her background and were very comfortable with her when she arrived. She had 25 years of experience in caring for children of all ages. That, in itself, gave us much comfort. She took great care of our baby and remained in contact with us while we were out to dinner. We would be happy to call on Mom's Best Friend next time we are in need of a sitter. Thank you!
