One of my favorite stores in Denver 5/4/2009

One of the neatest stores in the Denver area. Great place to get unique items and amazing modern and vintage home furnishings. There is also a cool bargain basement! They have everything from designer furniture to quirky Lomo Cameras and everything in between. This store will make you giddy with ideas for your home/apartment. Pros: Great selection and prices for every budget. Cons: So much stuff to look at, it can be overwhelming! more

Overpriced, Fun to Visit 3/10/2009

Always fun to visit and see what's new. Prices, however are somewhat inflated. I don't know if it was just the last time I was in, but it seemed like a ton of PLASTIC and really bright colors. in the vintage, there is basically no quality control over condition. If you want something that's of vintage quality but looks like new, try Nines (they refinish all their own stuff). Pros: Fun to visit and see what's new Cons: all these ugly plastic dogs, no quality control or service more

Quality Bargains 11/14/2007

""WOW"" I just had an incredible experience at this vintage modern store in Denver. I live in Dallas and love to shop modern in other cities and found them and their web site on city search. What I found was a huge selection of both vintage and new modern designs. On the main floor was a mid century haven with everything from Danish modern, art deco and pop atomic furniture, lighting, art and glass. I scored a beautiful modernist metal wall sculpture for less than it would have been on an auction site. I also spent a half hour digging in their bargain basement full of marked down items. Shopping for all levels of experience and incomes...... Pros: Great customer service with a huge variety of items. Cons: So much to choose from! more

Lucky for Denver 8/14/2007

If you appreciate mid-century and new design, you'll love having mod livin' in Denver. The buyers get stuff by the best designers and -- and cool random stuff that looks like it's by the best designers. I got a vintage coffee table for $300 that would have gone for 2-3 times that in NYC or SF. more

Is everyone NUTS? 5/22/2007

Okay, I've lived in Denver since 1989 and have never spent over $1400 for a modern sofa...Does anyone who has commented on Mod Livin' know how to buy furniture? Obviously not! These prices are outlandish. Yeah, the stuff is unique but not unique enough for me to stop in to this over priced yuppie puppie hell hole. They prey on idiots such as all of you...until they wake up and smell reality they won't be getting my yuppie puppie dollars! more

I've made some good deals. 12/20/2005

I've shopped at Mod Livin many times. The furniture is in excellent condition and the prices are reasonable. I like to wander through shops until I see something that is interesting, at that point, I like to talk to someone or ask questions. Mod Livin provided comfortable browsing time, and the staff were very attentive at my request. It's a fun place to shop. great experience!!! 3/7/2005

I recently went to Mod Livin' for a new couch and was totally amazed by their selection. I came home with a fabulous 1940's couch (mint condition) for such a great price. The sales staff was so helpful! They helped me through the whole process and delivered it the next day! I can't help but to boast about them! I live in the neighborhood and think that they are such a great asset to Denver, especially Colfax. Pros: Inexpensive, Fabulous Finds, Helpful staff more

Mod Livin' Best in the West 3/6/2005

My wife and I have shopped Modernist stores throughout the West, and Jill and Erick at Mod Livin' have done the best job of combining value and selection with just plain coolness. Go ahead and shop in Palm Springs; your jaw will drop at the prices. Seattle, Scottsdale, you name it, these guys are the best. They are solely responsible for us not having a decent retirement fund going!! Both owners are considerate and always greet us with humor and professionalism. more

Overpriced with attitude 2/17/2005

All I can say is please lower your prices. Colfax is a place for deals.....not attitude. The best place for deals in this store is upstairs where great stuff can be found by one of their dealers. Also, watchout, items not clearly marked as to whether or not they are reproduction. Next time someone comes into your store, GREET THEM and say ""hi."" Sorry, poor experience overall. Shopping 2003-2004 9/22/2004

In the past two years, I have shopped and purchased at Mod Livin' several times. The furniture and decorative items are in perfect condition, and in my opinion, the prices are very fair. The sales staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Would I shop there again, or refer my friends? Yes. It's also fun to take a tour through the shop and look - there is always something new and interesting to look at. Pros: excellent condition, affordable, pleasant shopping more

THEY HAVE THE BEST MODERN FURNITURE IN DENVER. THEY ARE MODERATELY PRICED, HAVE THE NICEST SALES STAFF, AND ABSOLUTE BEST FURNITURE IN DENVER.
