My son left his car with us so I decided to give him a gift of a car wash and carpet cleaning.
My wife suggested it and I agreed so I paid $12.99 for the car wash and $29.99 for the carpet cleaning.
We left the car with them for over an hour, and then when I picked it up I gave the guy a $2 tip and drove it 1.5 miles to home.
When I got out I noticed the rear driver side alloy wheel was still dirty at the rim edge (that I always clean by hand with a wet rag). Then I looked more closely at the other wheels WERE MUCH WORSE. They each had the same black brake film dirt all over each wheel at each of the 4 big alloy wheel spokes. It was clear that they were never touched by a hand witha sponge or rag. The only cleaning was on the surface done by the machine sponge-flappers.
Then I looked at the carpet cleanig and saw it was at best no better than I could have done with a $4 can of spray carpet foam and a shop vaccum.
When you pay $44 and wait an hour you should expect the cleaning to be done better that you would get if you drove though a $8 gas station auto-wash and then did a little vacuuming of the carpet. I am tempted to drive back but then that is more wasted time for me so I will wipe the four wheels off myself and never go back. What is the world coming too when you can't even get a decent car wash for $44?
