Ok... let's go over somethings about the fabulous Mission Springs... First, let me say this is not a ranting session.. this is to truly inform potential tenants that the price is not the great compared to your living experience. When I first moved into the apartments, I was extremely happy. Was glad to be ""on my own"" in a place I could afford. The apartment I had was small but cozy. I like it, it was my own. Everything was great... for the first six months. Then it all went to hell. Anytime I had a problem and had to call the office, they said they would get someone on it. A couple of days later, still no fix. The sink holes started happening around the complex... it would take MONTHS to get them fix. Yet here you are, having no choice but to drive over them because of their location in the roads. According the the leasing agreement you are required to sign, they have 7 days to fix anything you report in writing. Don't count on that.. I am just asking everyone who is looking for a place to stay, don't just always go for pricing of the apartment. Do your research. Yes 50% or more of the reviews you will read will be just rants, but if you see 50 negatives to 5 positive, you have to question the validity. Amenities: Two Swimming Pools - This is one thing I will stay positive on... they are out there every morning cleaning the pools (or at least the one by the office) Online Credit Card and Check payment accepted - What they fail to tell you is they charge an outrageous amount for credit card payments (the most being $40 per transaction) and if you make a mistake and a payments bounces, you are resigned to paying by money order only. Two Lighted Tennis Courts - HAHAHAHAHAH.... Yes, there are two tennis courts, but only one net. Don't believe me, check out their website and look at the photos. They refuse to replace it. And lighted' Not anymore, guess they decided they don't want to replace/fix the lighting. 24 Hour Fitness Center - Yeah, they have one... very little equipment and most of it does not work. Two Laundry Centers - Can anyone tell me where the second one is' The one by the office is not very convenient to get to. Package Receiving - They'll receive it, but fail to let you know it arrived. Hope it's not something important you are waiting for... Experienced Management and Maintenance Team - Where is the experienced people' They are very rude. They have no concern for their tenants... they will put on a happy face if you are brand new or if there are potential prospects in the office. They will never do what they say they are going to do. Playground - If you want your children reading obsenities as they slide down the slide, or climb the monkey bars, go ahead and let them play. You have been warned. Large Pets Welcome (Breed Restrictions Apply) - I can understand the pet deposit of $300, but why the hell do you have to pay $15 per pet for them to live there. And breed restrictions' Yeah right... over half of the Mission Springs tenants have not reported having an animal (I can't blame them), but there several ""breed restricted"" dogs living there. Not that I mind, because it's not the dog that is bad, but the owners that train them. But if you are going to advertise it as an Amenity.. live up to it. 24 Hour Emergency Maintenance Service - Yeah yeah yeah... you can call in the emergency... you'll get a call back saying, I'll come out tomorrow. Nothing is an emergency to the maintenance team. Pros: They clean the pool daily Cons: To many to mention here... read the details more

The Worst Management 2/8/2009

I would advise for anyone not to move to these apartments if you have other options!!! I have had nothing but issues with the place since I moved in last may. The compresser in my air condition unit was broken, and it was shooting flames from the AC unit. Management fixed the problem after I complained for almost two weeks. My first JEA bill due to the AC being broken was $575.74, and the management would not pay for it due to the fact they said it wasn't their fault, but I found out that the person who lived here before me had the same issue and it was never fixed!! Also the Maintenance Crew will come in your home to do work, use the bathroom, urinate on the floor and the toilet and not clean it up. Also their was a pipe that burst and they did not notify any of the Tenants that the water was going to be shut off, and I had relaxer in my hair. All management said was OH WELL there is nothing we can do about it. This is the WORST place to live in reference to management, and I will be moving as soon as my lease is up!!! They can't keep the apartments leased very long, and the place is a hole in the wall!!!! more
