?Hidden Gem in Nashville? 2/24/2012

My husband took me to the Dinner Theater for my birthday (April 2) and I had such a wonderful time I couldn't wait to get home and write a review for this establishment. The actors were wonderful and the food was delicious. The actors greet you as you enter the theater, dress you with ""lovely"" accessories, and then lead you to the stage area. Throughout the meal and the play, the actors engage the audience with various pleasantries such as holding conversations, singing, and dancing... (I even got to dance with the sheriff of the town). I was surprised to learn that most patrons are from out of town, which is why I call this a hidden gem. From the location and entering the building you may be a little skeptical (my husband definitely was) but don't let the looks fool you. I have never seen my husband laugh so hard and he is still raving about the chocolate cake. I will definitely be making this a must see for my mother who is traveling to Nashville soon. smurf2z Nashville, Tennessee Visited April 2011 more

Ugh that was painful! 12/21/2011

We traveled to Nashville from Chicago & were looking for something fun to do as a family (6 adults & 1 chid). It was not in a great part of town. We got there early so we had to wait in our (locked) cars as the doors did not open until 645pm. The hostess was friendly & some of the decor was cool (votive candles on the rock wall). We were seated and had salad. It was BYOB, so that was nice. Our waitress was very nice. That is where the pleasant parts ended. The food looked good. Until a loooong hair was pulled out of the potatoes. Talk about ruining everyone's meal. There was nothing else offered, so I ate 2 rolls for a $50 dinner. As for the show (The Breedy Bunch).....OMG, it was horrible. Not funny at all. I have seen better stuff come from high school plays. If you have seen that annoying Brady Bunch Movie from the 90s, then you have heard ALL the ""jokes"" (which are not even funny in the movie). Our table pretty much laughed at the show. I know it's mean to say, but we were really dissapointed in everything. 3 people in our party were sick the next day (not me, because I only ate rolls). The skit had no 'mystery' to it and barely made sense. When the actors came around to give us 'clues', they all told us Alice did it. And that was the answer. I just wanted to get out of there!! Again, the staff was very nice & the 'actors' I'm sure really tried to be funny. But there is NO WAY I would ever pay more than.....FREE....to see this show again. more

Funniest show around! 10/12/2009

Allsbrow must have gone to Marples in the olden days, but I hear it's under new management, and it's so worth it. I saw the Gimme Awards which was a fake award show with Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Britney Spears, Sharron Osbourne, and some drunk opera singer. Yes, the show is corny, but so is the Nash Trash tours, and I really don't care if it's corny-- I just want to laugh. It's only at Marple's that you have a drunken opera singer (who sings like a woman) wander off the streets with a stuffed penguin or Dolly shake her boobs in your face! I will say that the food was not consistent. My plate was good-- esp the green beans and pecan pie, but I heard complaints from others that theirs was not up to par with what they had expected. BUT I would say all in all, this is a totally worth it experience. They do have a new location: 136 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. Nashville, Tn. 37203 And their phone number is: 615-902-9566 Pros: Wonderful Show-- hilarious actors Cons: Food was not consistent more

Worse than I thought it would be 12/12/2007

I have to say I was pretty disappointed in Miss Marple?s. I went there as part of an office Christmas Party, and I wasn?t expecting much out of the play. The play was in fact very corny, so in that way it delivered exactly what I expected. I was a little surprised at how simple (read pointless) the mystery was. My real disappointment comes from the food. It was just bad. It was not appetizing to look at, and just screamed bad preparation. The chicken was cold and dry, the green beans looked like they just dumped them from the can onto my plate, the piece of meat I had was mostly fat, and although the potatoes were hot, they lacked completely in flavor. There was nothing wrong with the ice cream for dessert, but how could you screw up ice cream. I?m not in anyway a picky person, but if I had paid for this I would have sent it back. So all in all, the play was what you would expect and the food was a giant disappointment. Pros: BYOB Cons: Food was awful more
