Go Bucks Go!!! 4/1/2006

Okay, Y'all got me. I admit it. I have never been a real sports fan for anything other than boxing and racing. But I am getting hooked. How is that you ask? A real, live game makes all the difference in the world. My daughter a few years ago signed up for basketball. The honest to goodness first thing that ran through my head was *BORING*. I could not have been more wrong. Watching a basketball game on television is boring. You are limited in only being able to watch whatever parts of the game that the cameracrew deem viewable. Watching a game in person gives you the entire court, and that makes all the difference in the world. First it was elementary school basketball, and next it was the BUCKS! GO Bucks GO!! It's an interesting game, and is hard to follow on television. But by seeing it in person it opened up a new world and a new fan...within me. If you can catch a game, I suggest you go. It's great entertainment. The ticket prices are a bargain. If you go early enough there are local tv and radio stations outside offering up freebies and inside you will always find at least one credit card company offering you a t-shirt or more just for applying for a credit card. Worth the t-shirt to me! Have a fun day with the family or a friend. Go Bucks! more

Fun times no matter how good or bad! 10/23/2005

A Buck's game is always a fun experience. The lights, the action, the fouls, lol. They haven't been the best team in years past, but that doesn't take away the magic of an NBA game in the Milwaukee area. If you can get tickets at a discounted price, the money is worth it. I know as a kid, a Buck's game was always an exciting experience and something I'll remember forever. more

Bucks Basketball Back Again 8/16/2005

The Milwaukee Bucks are getting new life with the number one pick in the draft this year. Returning this year will be T.J. Ford after spending most of last season on the bench with an injury to his spinal cord. In the off season the Bucks resigned guard Michael Redd to a contract making this year a very exciting one for Milwaukee Bucks basketball. more

Buck-Shot! 8/12/2005

The Milwaukee Bucks...the loveable losers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Games are located in downtown Milwaukee at the Bradley Center. Parking is expensive unless you know the city well; it isn't difficult to find parking away from the arena. The masses of Buck fans have adequate energy, and Bango (the mascot) is great, but there isn't much to get excited about here. However, the Bucks did land the number one draft pick in the 2005 lottery, center Andrew Bogut, so some fans are anticipating the 2005-2006 season. Bogut, along with forwards Desmond Mason and Michael Redd, make up what the Bucks organization hopes to be a solid nucleus for years to come. more

  • The Milwaukee Bucks are a National Basketball Association team that was formed in 1968 when the NBA awarded a franchise to Milwaukee Professional Sports and Services. In October of that same year, the Bucks played their first NBA regular season game against the Chicago Bulls before a crowded arena of nearly 8,500 fans. In 1971, the Bucks won the NBA championship against the Baltimore Bullets. The title was won faster than any expansion team in professional sports history. In 1985, the franchise s current owner, United States Sen. Herb Kohl, bought the Bucks in fear that another investor might move the team from Milwaukee. The team plays at the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee.
