Milex/Mr. Transmission

this place is terrible we will not go it to a lot of details but i had to get their corporate office involved with all of the problems that i had also please read all of there other reviews online they are almost verbatim to the problems i had with this shop -- i dont know who is giving them 5 stars but it is kind of fishy do not trust alex, wayne, or john and do not go and deal with any of there financing companies either esp. gregory evans do not be fooled by the free tow or diagnostic they WILL charge you for it and they WILL LIE more

I took my honda in a few weeks ago. Alex told me initially that it was just a filter that needed to be replaced in my transmission and that it would run me $285. It was closing time when I got there and he said he would need to keep my car overnight. The next morning he called me to tell me that I needed to have my transmission completely rebuilt and it would be $1800. Red flags went off immediatly and I called my uncle who insisted he come pick up the car but when he spoke to Alex he told him that they had my transmission taken apart and he could not come pick it up. I never gave him permission to take my transmission apart. My uncle told them to put my car back together that he was on his way to come get and after some words they did. Long story short after getting a second opinion the only thing that was wrong with my car is the overdrive went out. My transmission was fine. They are currently screwing my best friend over as well but I wil let her post her story. THESE PEOPLE ARE EVIL!!!! I don't know how they sleep at night. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Tell everyone you know. more

had my 99 Trans Am Conv. taken to this shop at 1816 Spring Cypress Rd. It cost around $1600 the first time with a new shift kit. They told me they had to put a new transmission in my car. Apperntly it was a rebuilt transmission not a new one. I had to pay around $390 extra the 9th time and $670 exrta the eleventh time after they supposedly put in a new transmission . Now the transmission broke agian............ I talked with my attorney and there is nothing I can do as long as they are trying to fix it. He told I should have never paid extra for the work after the first payment for the transmission due to the fact that it was all replaced. Of cource I could not get my car unless I paid.... This time I had to find a reciept....... Which I moved, but I did find one........ Which it is not the last one I got. Looking for the $670 reciept........ It seems that a company should have records of those. Plus I did not get a reciept everytime. Of cource... I was told new owners took over and all new employees this time. I hope they will get it right this time. I will post later for an update to this company..... Hopefully these people know what they are doing and I don't have to file suit. We will see....... DO DO DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE OR ANY MR TRANSMISSION PLACES IF YOU WANT IT FIXED. IF YOU WANT TO PAY PAY PAY and PAY MORE and NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE FIXED. AND THEN PAY EVEN MORE BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER TO PAY HALF THAT IT IS TO FILE SUIT. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR YOU.......CORPERATE DOES NOT HELP. THEY ALSO SAY PAY HALF IT IS ALOT CHEAPER. As you can see I am back.... They wanted to charge me half the cost to fix my car now... This would have been the 14th time back in this shop. As stated "It is cheaper for me to pay half than it is to take them to court" said Alex after I faxed (Emailed) him one of the reciepts that I found with the date of 09-29-2009. Today is 09-10-2009...That is not one year. Which I contacted him on 9-02-2010. I have to find the first reciept or second reciept I have that I paid extra for a 3 year warranty. I have reciepts somewhere dated after 9-29-2009, but I have to find it. Which I will. I will be filing in Harris County on them and on the corperate office in Midlothian, IL. If anyone one also wants to file a class action suit against the company in addition email me at scottthornton99@yahoo dot com. How does a company get by with not doing what they say?????? more

Disregarding anything you say because now you are trapped. They are bad people. They are destroying the reputation of honest shops with their day to day practices of ripping people off and acting with strong arm Mafia style "sales". DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION !! Asked for a credit card authorization over the phone before they could start the repair. I had my friend call and ask what payment methods they accept (because it was a holiday) and she was told by Alex that checks were accepted. When we arrived 45 minutes later on a Holiday we were told cash only. We were told that they accept checks and credit cards from some customer just not the ones who complain on them. Pros: none Cons: Ripoffs, deceptive practices, liars and cheats! more

my car has been siting at there shop for 3 months now collecting dust. its a 2003 mercedes e500. they were to replace my transmission and converter and never did. they collected twice from me one time from my insurence $4,000 $400 from me and then just not too long ago $2,500 from my warranty company for one transmission and my car is still not fixed and i am getting nothing but the run around. well i gave them all the time in the world to fix it. no more. time for action. if you ever want to see your car run right saty far away from there. they are liers and crooks. and sad that they draging mr. transmissions name in the ground. very sad.
